I\'m one of the people who enjoyed the movie. Though like many here, also believe that this movie has many flaws and could\'ve been a lot better. Still, even with its flaws, still found it entertaining, and didn\'t leave the theater completely cheated (that I blaime the overpriced movie ticket I had to pay becuase the theater near me at home didn\'t think $4.50 was high enough for matinee. Instead, a ****ing $7.00. ****ing ripoff.

).
Anyways, for the most part, as I have stated in the previous thread, the movie takes place 1 month before the first game. This is everything before the hospital scene at the end. Remember, we are never told how long Alice stayed in the hospital when Umbrella busted in through the mansion and took Matt and Alice away. Which could very well be over a month if Paul Anderson is following the games timeline (i.e. through the time of the first game). After the hospital scene, timeline of around of Resident Evil 2/3 (since 3 is a prequel/sequel to Resident Evil 2 in a way remember? Before Jill gets infected by Nemeisis, 24 hours before Resident Evil 2. After getting infected, 24 hours after Resident Evil 2. All taking place in the infected Raccoon City).
As for Nemisis, well, since the time Umbrella got Matt (and assuming Matt Nemisis is the same as the RE3 Nemisis which all indications appear that to be the case) then they got at least 1 month before "Matt" goes online so to speak as the STAR killer it is in RE3 (again, following the timeline this movie first takes place, and when the game timeline beings). So...eh plenty of time to work on Nemisis and to release him to go after first Brad then Jill.
