The Big E3 List
You want to know what we\'ll be playing at this year\'s big show? Well come on in and see. Updated daily.
April 11, 2002 - Well, well, well...it\'s almost that time of year again. E3, the biggest, greatest, and most game-packed convention in the world, is coming up fast, as is the acid in the stomachs of the IGN editors as they realize exactly how many games they have to cover this year. Suckers!

Why are we so stressed out? Try taking a look below. With over a GAZILLION games being shown at this year\'s E3, the IGN editors have a tough road ahead of them as they try to retain their sanity while preparing for the big event. Craig\'s already started his diet of nothing but mountain oysters and Metamucil (he says it keeps him regular), while Steve prefers a regimen of ballet and tap every night.

In preparation for the show and to let you know that we care (and we really do...the flowers are on the way), we\'ve put together a fat list of all the official titles being shown at the big show in Los Angeles between May 22-24, so for those of you who are camping out by your computers, print out this list and highlight the ones you\'re excited about. Or just order a few dozen pizzas and read everything we post at E3. Lord knows we won\'t have time to!

Remember, this list doesn\'t necessarily represent everything that a particular company will be showing at E3, just what they\'ve confirmed that they\'ll be showing so far, and there are sure to be plenty of surprise titles on the floor that game publishers aren\'t ready to make public until the show opens.

Also remember that this is just a small sample of the games that will be at the show. Make sure to check this page regularly, because we\'ll be updating the list as we get more confirmations of titles that we\'ll be seeing at E3.

Be sure to check back often!

I am hoping that we see some footage or at least concept art from Shiny\'s The Matrix . I am not a fan of the movie (infact, I hate it) but I have never played a Shiny game that was not great, so I do have hopes for it. I doubt we see it though, espically with all that is going on with Interplay and Shiny being up for sell. :(

On a positive note, I saw three things in that list...

Bomberman Generations . Please God, a regular Bomberman (as in no 3D crap) that is four player!

Rayman 3 .  I loved the first and the second was the second best 3D platformer ever (only beat by Mario64), so I can\'t wait to see what Ubi Soft has in store for us.

And finally...

Phantasy Star Collection . \'Nuff said.

Oh and some Resident Evil 0 news wouldn\'t be too shabby either. I\'m betting Capcom saves that for SpaceWorld , if they even show it at all.

You have to keep in mind that the list doesn\'t have the Japanese developers listed, first party games listed and even all the American games listed. Not to mention any surpise games, which there is always plenty of.

Because it is better hype and media to release everything at once. A media blitz attack, like Nintendo did with Z(c)elda. Release it all at once and you\'re gurantee\'d to get the media\'s attenion, which in return means you get the public\'s attenion.

Well only thing on that list I see that sparks my interest is MK5,Malice, and maybe gun metal for xbox.

OH yeah and wwf WMX8 for gamecube. I really hope there is more from other companies because if that\'s all from e3 I think it\'s going to be a lack luster show.

That kinda sucks that Timesplitters 2 is not an exclusive.

Game I\'ll be following is probably Age of Mythology for the PC.
