I\'m in the miniortiy here. I could not get over the massive flaws in the movie. What flaws, you ask?
1) The oufits was terrible. Did anyone else experience a weird moment when Spider-Man and The Green Goblin was talking to each other and you could not see their jaws move? It was very disturbing and pulled me away from the movie.
2) The CGI of Spidey swinging around was terrible. I honestly have to wonder how much money Sony invested in the CGI. There was just something terribly wrong with it.
3) Kirsten Dunst is a terrible Mary Jane.
4) They ruined the Green Goblin with this new suit. At least Dafoe done the best he could with the situation.
5) Bruce Campell should of never been in the movie.
I can come up with plenty more...I guess I will sum it up. It\'s no Superman or Batman film (the first one of each series was the best!). However, it was better than the terrible and I do mean terrible X-men movie.
1. I\'d be willing to bet that the director did some tests with a different form of Green Goblin costume, with more of a mask instead of helmet. They probably figured out that it looked silly (which it does, even in the comics) and went with the design in the movie instead. I\'m ok with it. I agree that the scenes where Spiderman is speaking, and his jaw does not move is pretty cheap. Fortunately it only happens a couple times where it\'s really noticable.
2. I had a problem with the CG character animation too. I\'d say that 60-70% of the time it looks good or acceptable. Around 30-40% of the time it looks very false. All I can say is that the director and animators bit off more than they could chew on those shots. The animations were obviously based on motion capture, but they were tweaked too much to produce these ultrafast jumps and flips. It would have worked better if they had lowered the speed to somewhere closer to the realm of human capability.
3. Yes. Kristen Dunst is awful. Almost anyone would have been better.
4. See 1.
5. I didn\'t even notice it was Bruce Campbell until about half way through his dialog. I thought it was a funny touch. No problems there.

For example, in the comics, when he is impaled by his glider, it is on the bridge, not where ever they were in the movie.
Actually, it\'s not on the bridge. In the comic, it happens in the Goblin\'s hidden warehouse lair.
