For the record, it use to be a very spiritual rites of passage for a lot of tribes. Now certain \'modern primitives\' are doing it also. I wouldn\'t call it "stupid", if someone likes it. It is suppose to give you an extreme rush and a certain sense of enlightment through the pain. Does it work? I don\'t know, however I\'m not going to judge it, as I do know someone who has done it a couple times.
