Well Mario debuted in SMB1 in 1985, so you\'ve been gaming since then or a year or so later.

But Final Fantasy has been on the NES that you started with, the SNES that you graduated to, the PS1 that you went to, the PS2 that I assume you own, the PC that you\'re typing on, it\'s coming to Gamecube and Gameboy Advance, and I wouldn\'t be so shocked if FFXI hit Xbox, but I think that rumor died...

I mean really, you didn\'t think they just started the series at number seven, did you?

Basically, rather than being wrong so much, just stick to saying things you know are true. ;]

.... i will say it again i know final fantasy started on nintendo systems i was just trying to use it as an example but bad example.

ill use zelda as the example.  it just moves up mostly nintendo consoles.  i dont call that multi console.  it may have come out on 3do or pc but that doesnt even count since it doesnt do that any more though

That\'s true, it started on the NES.. but it was made by Square. A not-necessarily-exclusive 3rd-party.

The main Zelda series (developed by Nintendo\'s internal teams in Japan; the games that people want) has never been sold on anything but Nintendo platforms. Nintendo and Philips tried a joint development on the Philips CD-i; Nintendo licensed the Mario and Zelda characters to Philip\'s studios (not Nintendo\'s EAD in Japan) for use. They dropped the ball and made several horrible Zelda games that weren\'t even Action/RPGs like the primary Zelda titles. These are often forgotten. Since then, Nintendo has only licensed characters out to talented/trusted developers.

pikmin and luigi\'s manson are like glorified tech demos

I can\'t believe your just throwing pikmin in the same pile of trash as luigi\'s mansion.

Clowd, just admit you never were thinking about getting a GC.

Who, in their right mind, would get a PSONE over a GC? If anything, he/she should get a PS2 (backwards compatibility).

I know, but still...

If you would just give Gamecube a chance, you would find that there is much more than just Mario and Zelda. At least you are not going crazy over the whole "kiddy" thing (some idiots won\'t even give Zelda or Mario a chance).

How can you say that the GC is nearly the same as N64.

1. Many 3rd party developers are showing interest in the GC...Capcom, Square (albeit reluctantly), etc.

2. Nintendo is supposedly reducing their development/royalty fees in order to attract even more 3rd party support.

3. The GC is getting exclusive "mature" games...Eternal Darkness, RE series, etc.

BTW, you might want to ask somebody that knows a lot about Nintendo to help fill in all the "et ceteras" I had.

mario is one of the main reasons i thought about getting a game cube btw the new mario game is called mario sunshine or is that the code name something like that but you can wear 3d glasses while playing it to enhance the experience or something like that

the main problem holding me back from getting the cub is all these good play station two games comin out ($50!)

but latley they have been slowing down so ok i changed my mind again.  if i  find $200 layin around ill get the cube but just for mario...and maybe zelda if it is all its hyped up to be  .... .. dont really care about all those "M" games

The official name of the new mario game is Super Mario Sunshine (that is from Nintendo themselves). I highly doubt there will be anything to do with 3-D glasses, but I could be mistaken.

$150 GC Mario Sunshine > $200 x box project ego(or any other game it can offer.)

Nintendo Im coming back.

Mario is the greatest ever, next to ff.

Zelda has nothing on Mario.

Metroid has nothing on Mario.

Halo has nothing on Mario.
