You have it all wrong.

Consoles > PC gaming

It doesn\'t have anything to do with graphics, or sound, or control, or anything like that...





I couldn\'t find the best picture of a living room set up, so I just threw a nice living room picture up there :D

hehehe i play my play station two on a 31" JVC with S-Video monster cables... plus that hyper sound the JVC tv has....definitly way better then the pc....

How much did it all cost? 10 grand?

I doubt your average joe could afford that...

I wasn\'t pointing out how nice everything in my pictures were, I was pointing out how much more comfortable console gaming is then PC gaming.  For that simple fact, in my opinion, console gaming is better. ;)

higher resolution DOES NOT equal better graphics.

mm, I have absolutely no problems with the resolution of PS2 games on my Sony 32" widescreen TV. No mouse, no keyboard, just a PS2 hooked up to it and a dolby digital & DTS soundsystem with up to 600 watt (sinus) + 260 watts subwoofer output. No idea how much that is in PMPO Watts, but it\'s certainly is a lot more than most home cinema amplifiers out there. And guess what, I can enjoy that on my couch, not having to worry about Windows crashing or what not. A PC gamer however spends more cash on a graphicscard, which in the end isn\'t even being used to its full potential until 1 or 2 years later.

actually, I think they already do. :) They might not outshine the PC in FPS and Strategy-games (since those are the only ones the PC seems to offer at a frequent rate), but I believe it can\'t touch consoles in many other genres. Games like DoA3, GT3, Resident Evil haven\'t been touched on PC yet I believe. And there\'s always more to gaming than just graphics. Sound qualty is clearly better if you have the equipment (like I do) and it\'s just more confortable and fun playing on a console. But to each their own I guess... ;)
