i just wanna be able to have a strong signal at all times, thats all i really care about... where i live out in the country most of the time i have "no service" it really pisses me off.

i could care less about anything else, although sending and recieving email is nice.

Usually thats due to the lack of transmitter towers rather than the phone itslelf.

Isnt the mobile phones we have today good enough realy ? I have a Siemens c30 or something like that... bought it for 20$ and it works just fine. U can send SMS, u can call out and u can even hear it when it rings. What more do u wish ? 32" widescreen on it ? And being able to have it as a cupholder for your beer on the pubs ?  Mob phones just get more and more silly. If I have to buy a new one someday, Im going to buy one without all this extra crap on it.
MM told me to have a 5 line signature. I count now

A little function that lets you send text messages.. About 200-300 letters should be enough.. Oh and maybe the internet?
But lets make a crappy version.. Lets call it VVAP!

As for cell phones, why don\'t you look at the cell phones in the Japanese market?  They support i-mode (internet browsing), emails, digital pictures, digital movies, GPS navigation.. etc..  by digital pitures and movies, i mean there\'s a little camera on it where you can take pictures and movies and send them via email to others.  The email feature is nice because it doesn\'t restrict you to just other users in the same network.  The internet feature is nice because you can check up on weather, news, etc etc..  almost anything that\'s available on the net... and the LCD screens are 16million colors.  I believe these are what, 3rd generation phones or something?  Not sure which generation they were.

I\'m sure making the phones themselves isnt the biggest problem though..  Supporting the network and infrastructure to all these services becomes the biggest problems.

For exaple, wouldn\'t it be nice if your phone also could tell if are about to have a cold, maybe it should double as a hairdrier.

Gimme something new to work with people.

OKAY....  I want my cell phone to be able to walk and talk on its own.. like Aibo or something.  This is still in the plausible realm.

Outside of that realm, I\'d like my cell phone to allow me to fly, work as a metal detector, and also predict earthquakes.  it\'d also be nice if it had a self exploding mechanism, and also work as a portable microwave.

I doubt it.  The equivalent phone here in japan (and they\'ve been out for way more than a year now) were around $300USD when they came out.  Now they run about $150 or less.
