jet pilots dont hear it cause they are travleing 1000\'s of MPH

Breaking the sound barrier can easily kill a person, and no, he wouldn\'t able to hear the explosion.

Yeah, a plane around 9/11 broke the sound barrier by my house and it sounded like a massive explosion.
