The hi-tech advert for Microsoft\'s Xbox machine prompted 136 complaints from viewers, including a woman who lost a baby during childbirth and 20 people who had suffered bereavements. The Independent Television Commission ordered Microsoft to withdraw the advert and make changes after viewers found it "offensive, shocking and in bad taste".

Microsoft is not only dumb, they\'re becoming offensive.  Idiots.

What ad is there were it won\'t offend anyone?  Somebody is always gonna ***** because they don\'t have anything better to do...

I found the ad funny...

This kinda reminds me of that Street Fighter ad so many years ago...the mom was walking by her son\'s room and heard heavy panting, she proceeded to say "you\'re going to go blind" or something like that...

That could also be in bad taste...it was funny though.

When will people stop taking things so personally?

People are way too sensitive now a days.

I wonder how long it takes for the complainers to try to ban the XBox spot that has a skate board ending up in the kid\'s arse.

That could certainly trigger some bad memories for some in our hyper sensitive culture.

Very funy by the way.

People who complain about this type of stuff piss me off.  If you don\'t like the commercial, just change the channel.  People complain too much.

Yeah, people are too damn sensitive nowadays. For example, in the San Francisco, an ad for an fitness gym had to be taken down due to the fact that a few Fat people got offended (the ad had an alien on it and a slogan "they will take the fat people first"). I thought it was just harmless fun. But no, it was offensive to fat people, so had to go down.

Now, as for this Xbox ad in question, I didn\'t see anything that was offensive. Though I didn\'t find it funny either. Simply thought it was just plain stupid. :p

I uploaded a copy of the commercial to my webspace.  Pls keep it psx2central exclusive, meaning don\'t copy and paste the url at other places.  I have limited bandwidth. :nerd:

Abrasive advertising is hardly new. Microsoft illegally graffitied our footpaths not that long back.

But otherwise I don\'t see anything in the ad worth getting worked up over, though depending really on what programme/timeslot it was shown during. That and it really has f*ck-all to do with the XBox in the first place.
