Square CEO Youichi Wada has commented on Nintendo\'s statements regarding to Final Fantasy XI in Japan. Nintendo\'s former CEO Yamauchi mentioned that Final Fantasy XI did not sell well comparing to the other Final Fantasy games in the series, Wada mentioned that the income structure and the market size of online games are different from traditional standalone software, therefore it is no point to compare the two. In addition, he thinks customers may be misleading by Yamauchi\'s statements and have a wrong impression on Final Fantasy XI. Wada also commented that Final Fantasy XI is  opening a new market, he hopes Nintendo would support the issue. At last, Wada mentioned that their new work for GameCube still does not have an official title, although Yamauchi refers the game as a new Final Fantasy title

I\'m not exactly sure why I find this funny, but nintendo is a very stupid company.. sheese.
I guess one could say they never really "Made Up"
I\'m glad square stood up and took action and made a reply.
I guess nintendo does not want many cube games...

Sad part is, I actually own a Gamecube, but I don\'t exactly understand them all the time.

The tentative title is "Final Fantasy". Square/Nintendo said it was before, but now Square is probably further along in development so they know that the game will not be part of the Final Fantasy series.

I guess Nintendo is still mad about not getting FF again, so now they want it to fail

"Yamauchi mentioned that Final Fantasy XI did not sell well comparing to the other Final Fantasy games"

And he\'s right.  Big deal...

We\'ve even noticed it ourselves with that thread about FFXI Bombs...

His point was online isn\'t as profitable as he\'d like it to be when Nintendo gets involved, which looks to be later this year.

Darnit.. I forgot where I read this.. Somewhere in some Japanese news website, so it really wouldn\'t help much to find the link anyways.  But anyhoo, the story also included something about Nintendo\'s online plans.  Basically, the reporter speculated that Nintendo was not going to spend too much money on their online plans, as they do not believe that online is the future at the current time.  The report also speculated that perhaps Square has deviated from the original \'Final Fantasy\' plans with Nintendo and are developing a completely new and different game.

sidenote: these were speculations by the reporter

sidenote x2:  You remember back in elementary school there was always that little kid that tried to be \'cool\' and tried to say and do \'cool\' things?  And how people would look at him and be like \'dood you\'re a moron, Explain yourself\', and then he would just shut up and run away and go find another group of \'cool\' people to try to be \'cool\' with?

No, I\'m not going to explain everything to you, especially in detail.

Maybe you should try to figure some things out

There\'s nothing to figure out...

Am I the only one in here who doesn\'t understand why he said that?
