Capcom has revealed its consolidated statement for the financial term ending March 2002. According to the reports from Bloomberg Japan, the company\'s sales were 70.5 billion yen ($550 million), an increase of 12.4 percent from the previous term, though profits are expected to remain at a steady 10 billion yen. The company expects a slow profit growth in the current fiscal year due to a drop in the price of game software in North America, and it expects to ship approximately 500,000 copies of each of its prominent upcoming titles.

The company plans to release 74 titles this fiscal year, including 22 titles for the PlayStation 2, nine titles for the GameCube, five titles for the Xbox, eight titles for the Game Boy Advance, two titles for the PlayStation, one title for the Dreamcast, and 27 titles for the PC and other consoles.

Capcom expects to ship 16.2 million copies of its software releases this fiscal year. Titles such as Auto Modellista (PS2), Devil May Cry 2 (PS2), and Resident Evil 0 (GC) are included in the software lineup for fiscal year 2003.

Jesus christ, look at the mass amount of PS2 titles. 22?!? The GameCube gettin\' nine and the Xbox only gettin\' five. The biggest surprise being the fact that Capcom is still supporting the DC through this year with one more title coming up for it.

Hmm.

Lets see....

Devil May Cry 2

Auto Modellisa

Resident Evil 0

Mega Man X7

Onimusha 2

Dino Crisis 3

Super Ghouls and Ghosts (GBA)

Maximo 2

The list goes on and on. I\'m more curious about what this DC game is more than anything. I\'m sure it will be Japan only, as the DC is completely dead over here, but if it is something interesting, I\'ll buy it.

God Bless Capcom...

Still supporting the little DC...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

when you compare it to amount of Square games being released next year..... 3... 74 seems like a large number of games from just one company..

Man, I hate capcom.
74 titles, and not a word on Marvel vs Capcom 3.
The people incharge of capcom need to get beat down.

Capcom can\'t make Marvel games anymore even if they wanted to.

Unless somethings changed over the past month while I\'ve been inactive.

Capcom no longer has the Marvel lisence, Activision does now\'a\'days. So, you may be waiting awhile and I do mean awhile for Marvel vs Capcom 3. Look on the bright side, you get a port of Marvel vs Capcom 2 on the PS2 and XBox...Well, err, that isn\'t much of a bright side, now is it? ;)

I\'m personally waiting for Capcom to unveil Street Fighter 4 or a completely new series, though I\'d settle for a new PowerStone game.
