for all of you who love Baseball or sports in general and are sick and tired of these lame ass strikes over who get to be richer its time to do somethiing

Even if your not a true baseball fan, supporting this "Baseball boycott" on July 11 could help send a serious message to other sports that are do for labor contracts

anyways I thought this info should be shared and passed along

I\'m a huge fan of the NFL\'s salary cap. Even though it means favorite players do not last it creates and un arguable balance among all teams and forces players and owners to work with in set perameters which keeps the overall cost down to some degree

The first day after the all star break.  Yeah, I\'m sure I can do that.  Major League baseball really needs a salary cap (among other things).

especially in baseball because most athletes come out of high school or other countries.

Too bad that probably won\'t work.  If Yahoo! or a big site like that advertised it it would have a greater effect.  Oh well, I guess I can always look up the score on July 12th.

hmmmmm... just be easy on the Bosox, they\'re my team.  You can beat up on the Yanks all you want.  That\'s an abuse of money right now.

Now... about Montreal and Minnesota.

Argg... I\'m all for the equal pay/salary cap, but the Bosox are not nearly as offensive as the yanks.

Woo!!! Look at my D-backs, up there in 4th. I don\'t understand it though, they have 3 big name guys...oh well. Toot on.

On a seperate note, i am all in favor of a baseball salary cap. Baseball needs to even out the teams. It seems like it\'s the same teams every year competing because they are usually the ones with the highest payroll. And until there is a salary cap, baseball will suffer.

The A\'s are 28th and they are doing just fine.  But a salary cap would do wonders for baseball.  That or have a minimum of oh..70 million so that the teams will be closer together in payroll.  I guess this little chart Luke posted proves what money can do.  DBacks 4th in payroll and won a World Series, DRays last in payroll and are the far from it.

Go Salary Cap, for sure. Baseball has needed it for a long time. Nice to see my Cubs there in 12th, just proving that they\'re what they want to be, "Middle of the pack". IF they trade Lieber like they\'ve been talking about, that\'ll go down, though. (which would suck)

As for this July 11th strike thing, **** it. It won\'t do anything, and I don\'t feel like missing a day of baseball just because some guy came up with an idea of missing one day of games because it would "send a message" to Bud Selig and all of the other fat cat Owners in the Major Leagues.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

May I be the lone voice here.

I have had my share of Red Sox dissapointments over the years. Who hasn\'t!

That being said, I do not believe that there should be a salary cap. Baseball and all the other sports are entertainment and should be treated the same. I think the market will decide what these players can be paid.
