Isn\'t the goal of marketing profit???

let me know if I\'m wrong, because usually when I sell stuff I try and make money, but that might just be me.

EVERY company looses money on hardware.

Companies loose even more money when it\'s their first console.

I hope this is all mindless trolling, because you should not have to be reminded of this.  I have to think, with the notable and obvious exception of Billy Gun, you all the the intelligence to know better.

third is to conceal the absence of ideas.

Microsoft doesn\'t let go of failed things easily. WebTV, UltimateTV, Pocket PC, etc. When MS wants something in the market, it will be. They don\'t mind taking a loss for a while if down the road, it looks like there will be nice profits. I believe the only thing that kept Sony from turning in Quarterly loss last year was because of their videogame sector.
So, no, I don\'t care, as a consumer, if MS is losing money, as long as they are supporting it, which they are.
