If you ask me Sega is the one who is gonna get screwed.

I\'ll pay my 50 a year and 10 after that, and play the other on-line games.

If i have to pay any additional fee for PSO, i won\'t buy it. Plenty of other games.

Where\'s the spin?  I posted the truth, not some gloating, childish fanboyism.

Why do you not have dial up?  Because it\'s a less enjoyable experience, it\'s not offered to you or you\'re too damn cheap.

The fact of the matter is everyone will have the same fee to play MMOGs.  With everything else, xbox owners can choose to pay a nominal fee for a better service (not at all unlike dial up vs. broadband).

You tell me what the difference?  No one here would try to convince people that dial up is superior because it\'s cheaper.  But, laughably, that\'s your argument here.  You tell me.

Once you get through the drinks, appetizers, the meal, and tip, you\'re looking at upwards of $75.  It\'s a little pricey, but it\'s worth it.  You get what you pay for.  Just like everything else in the world.

Entirely contradicts argument over Sony\'s expensive electronics and appliances.  Thank you, have a nice day. :D

Example 1:

Sony\'s electronics are overpriced. Quality aside, you get way more for your money when you buy other brands.

Example 2:

You get your Wega, it\'s sh!t for the amount you pay.

from the sounds of every PSO interview, the XBox version is going to offer something that the GC won\'t be able to...tons of downloadable content. - AlteredBeast

Altered, I respect your opinions and views.. but you know as well as I do how this is going to turn out. Remember v.1\'s promise of Downloadable quests? Japan got 3 total.. the US got Letter from Lionel.. and you have to download that from other sites on the net.. there\'s no way to get it from PSO itself. Of course, now we\'re PAYING for PSO v.2, and what do we get? 5 new online quests TOTAL, plus 1 new offline quest and a few ports of old Japaneese Quests. (Soul of the BlackSmith, for example.)

Sonic Team can talk all they want, be you and I both know damned well that if history is any example that all their talk dosen\'t add up to a pile of sh*t. Downloads are going to be VERY few and far between.. jus like they are now. Sorry, but that\'s the way it is. Not to mention that (At least, from every report I\'ve read) Xbox\'s PSO is going to be a direct port from the Dreamcast with voice support added. That\'s it. Hardly worth 10 a month, or even 5 a month if you ask me.

BTW: Did anyone happen to nab that other quote about why Sonic Team wouldn\'t be putting PSO on the PS2? It\'s because, they say, that the PS2 has no system to collect user fees. Uhhh DUH.. Neither does the DC or NGC! What kind of stupid excuse is that?? I\'ll get the link from PSO World if anyone wants me to validate the info.

Billy you are stupid stupid stupid stupid.  Reading comprehension isn\'t your strong suit is it?  I wish they put an IQ cap on life to wed out half-wits like you.

I said you get what you pay for.  Wega isn\'t a good deal, there are better tvs out there for the same money.  When I pay that much for a meal, it\'s damn good, it\'s not fast food.

The realization hit people that Sony\'s products are NOT the best made and so they thought another route of annoyance would seem fit.

BTW, I had 3 PSXs and am on my 2nd PS2. Yeah, Sony Products are made like GOLD!!

Pure idiocity(sp?) there.  You said you get what you pay for.  Then you say Sony products aren\'t good for the price you pay.  Then you say, it\'s ok to shell out tons of cash to p0ay for Xbox live.  Is anyone home, don\'t you realize that your being a hypocrite??

Yep, thought so, good day to ya. :D

Billy, you are too damn stupid to pick up on what he is talking about.

Sony = you could get a better product for the price you are paying.

XBox Live = there is nothing better, might as well spend the money on it.

Great Food = self explanatory, a greatmeal is something ultimately more satisfying than 9 out of 10 things in this world.

broadband only (the lowest common denominator in a game is still much higher than 56k)

closed network (hopefully will cut down on cheating)

More exclusive content than any other developer (right now over 50 titles are in development for online in America)

I am sure there are other reasons. All I know ALL of Sega sports will be online with it, along with PSO, Halo 2, Project Gotham 2, Sega GT 2002 (eventually), etc.

1. If you got broadband then thats great! PS2 supports both (so does GC), but there will still be games that are broadband only (Im thinking of Socom)

2. Sony is already doing something about this. Im not sure how it works but each PS2 will have its on ID of some sort.

3. PS2 has a ****load of online games coming out. Very big titles from the biggest developers.

4. SEGA Sports games will be online on PS2 aswell, and we all know EA will bring Online games to PS2 and not Xbox.
We got GT4, AutoModellista, TimeSplitters 2 (which is exclusive online on PS2 IIRC), the new Ace Combat online, we know that a GTA game will be online, Tribes AA, FFXI, the new MoH game will be online aso.

Plus the one big advantage.. NO FEE!
