Bozco, yeah I feel the same way.  They won\'t have as many subscribers, but it\'s good for the people with BB.  I\'m not sure I\'d make that decision, but I\'m glad they did.

  xbox owners that
 - that have  a broadband connection
 - that want to pay extra money above thier 45$/month  BB fee
 - that have a router
 - that have thier xbox close for a network connection
 - that even care about online gaming

smaller and smaller and smaller the number become

I know the numbers.  I know how little actually have BB but 56k gaming online isn\'t the future.  We don\'t want lag in our gaming.

The thing is you are talking about gamers.  There are hundreds of thousands of gamers that are upgrading their computers two and three times a year.  Money isn\'t an issue.

And you know what, we could make a list of things that work against the PS2 online too.

How many are will to buy a modem?
How many are willing to buy a HD?
How many are willing to buy a headset?
What happens to performance when someone wants to surf the internet while someone else wants to play a game?
How many care about online gaming?
How many care about dial up online gaming?

And xbox has been marketed as an online ready console.  It was marketed that way from the begining.  Many people who bought it, did so just for the online aspect.

It\'s all about perspective.

i hope you arent under the impression that BB is lag free

NO connection is lag free

BB > dial up when it comes to raw speed

i dont care if yer on a T3, if the server is 20 hops away (not unreasonable), yer gonna have lag

tracert some sites and see what happens

Hey, read a little above, I know it won\'t be lag free.  But if I were using dial up it would be even worse.  My point is that bb is faster, plain and simple.

it allows for faster data bandwidth, not eradication of lag

it will reduce it somewhat, yes but its not like we\'re all on some magic network and little gnomes carry our packets to thier destination in the blink of an eye

Lol, of course not mm.  But like I said, I\'m willing to pay that minimal fee for less lag and all the other promised extras with XBL.

Plus, I\'ve played a lot of online with my PC and lag was pretty minimal most days.  XBL should be better or at least the same.

Clowd, I never said I was the judge.  If you\'d prefer, IMO DATCBG is a complete moron.  One of the simplest human beings I\'ve ever had the displeasure of conversing with.  

There, I\'m not a judge, just some guy with an opinion.
