Actually movies are more fake, I mean hell the actors don\'t even do their own stunts.   So starwars is more fake really, I mean hell Yoda doesn\'t even exist.

Cartoons are more fake.  And do you think I watch it because I think it\'s real????  No.  I think true fans know it\'s fake.  It\'s preferable to any other sitcom.

Well at least cartoons have interesting plotlines. In wrestling you watch two half naked men pretend to beat eachother up, you then watch  storylines worse then even the most horrible soap opera from hell could produce then watch half naked men again. Yup sounds like quality entertainment.

What I don\'t get is how people can get off saying crap like that without having actually watched it. That whole "big sweaty men" thing has been done to death. Get over it.

What Gunn says is very true. We know its fake, just as fake as any tv show or movie. But whoever made fun of someone for watching television? Wrestling is just one type of entertainment that some like, some don\'t.

Me personally, I like action. Thats the main reason I watch cartoons, movies, play games, etc. But like Theomen pointed out, in those things the action is fake, as well as the script. But in wrestling, the only "fake" thing about it is the storylines. The moves are real, pain is real, etc. No stunt doubles. Sure, some moves are practiced and such, and there are certain things that are done to make \'em safer, but its still REAL.

The punches are fake, no pain. The only real move is the slap/chop to the chest. Anything else is done on a very soft wooden floor that is flexible enough to absorb your weight. Real pain happens when they make a mistake and injure themselves, that\'s about it.

It\'s entertaining, anyhow. :)

Well, gay punches like Hogan\'s do no real damage...;)

And I\'ve been in one of those rings. Whoever said they were soft should be kicked in the nuts. (kicks soulreaver in the nuts) :p

Yep, when a mistake is made, they really pay for it. I\'ve become pretty good at pointing out real pain and "works".

Ok, maybe they\'re not that soft, but they are soft enough to cause no real pain.

If I carried you and threw you at the asphalt road, how much of a difference would there be? I\'d bet you would have a broken shoulder and a few scrathces with a move like the "Last Ride."
In the wrestling ring, anyone can be thrown around and not be injured until his 100th fight.

It takes its toll after awhile. Remember Shawn Michaels? Or DDP? Actually, DDP\'s injury is more related to HOW he fell, not what he fell on. But SM, he\'s been slammed on that canvas so much that he had to undergo major surgery.

But I do understand the difference between a wrestling ring and asphalt roads.
