Cloud345, think of Tidus\' Zanarkand as a parallel universe.  It is a preserved state of Zanarkand produced by the dreams of the fayth.

Exactly. And remember what Clowd said. How Yuna was whistling at the end of the game? This would explain the significance of the scene after Luca. And it would explain why Tidus comes outta the water, right? Yuna is standing there, whistling to the ocean. Then Tidus hears it, wakes up, and begins coming outta the water! Oooh, goosebumps! I think we\'re on to something!

But Tidus was actually a product of the S3 simulation, it was all planned so that he could be a super soldier.

So Tidus is a summon? Thats easier to understand than the rest of the thread....

Anyway, when in the game did you think this happened?  Was he always a summon?  

As you can see, we all still have some questions so feel free to help us out.

At the end when yuna whistles or something......someone said that I think it was chrono or clowd.

Tidus is a summon. In the ending when Yuna was whistling she was trying to summon him. The extra disc in FFX Japanese version has Kimhari finding Tidus in a summon ball.

BUT, since the kid (fayth) had told this to Tidus earlier on in the game...doesn\'t it make you wonder when it happened?

Ginko.. i just cant believe you thought the storyline was stale.  Its quite deep.  Did you skip all the cut-scenes/75% of the game?

I wouldn\'t have started this thread if I didn\'t have an interest in the game!

It\'s weird...I picked up a PS2 and FFX in Feb and beat it in 2 weeks.  I played through FFX with a bias against Sony (I know, it\'s stupid) so naturally I was going to be jaded against any story it through at me.  I didn\'t bother looking past the surface of the story, so it seemed somber and uninspired to me.

Well, for some odd reason I decided to pick the game up again in mid-May.  I\'ve been hooked on FFX since, and my PS2 for that matter.
