And what if I yawned everytime your auto insult xbox reaction took you over?

The difference if you go out of your way to bash the xbox.  I only bash PS2 to make a point.  You are clearly anti-xbox, there really can be no dispute.

Those are summer releases, and are MUCH better than PS2\'s summer releases.  Also, those games you list  (besdies Enclave)are solid titles all, not A+, but good fun none the less.  Throw Outlaw golf in too, it\'s in the same category, perhaps a little better.

BTW, despite what you and I feel, Morrowind has recieved EXCELLENT scores from almost everywhere.

yeah, the superior PC version has

i dont go out of way to insult the xbox, it comes naturally
someone knocks the xbox, and u impulsively insult the PS2
something i dont do

summer releases?  how long did gunvalkryie and hunter come out? far from summer titles

hey, if you wanna settle for B titles and lower yer expectation to accept xbox trash as golden titles, than go right ahead

my gaming time is far more precious

The spring and summer lineups for all consoles has been lackluster...so much that it\'s a waste to compare them.

I\'m not settling, just that there is nothing else to play anywhere that\'s better or even as good.

BTW, Gunvalkyrie was released in April; Hunter in May--that\'s pretty damn close to a summer release.

Morrowind XBOX:
IGN 9.4
Gamespot: 8.5

Both great scores.

IGN would rate a steaming pile of shit 8.8 or higher if they were told (paid) to

how many times in thier review did they mention the superior PC version and the amount of slowdown within

april and may are pretty far from summer

regardless, yer comparing them to PS2 releases as a reflex

they are letdowns, im sorry yer expectations are lower

Then why are you never publically dissappointed with PS2 offerings?  That\'s always been my problem.  You trash xbox EVERY chance you get, yet never a word comes from you when a PS2 game is a letdown.

It\'s a bias, and it\'s painfully obvious.  Sure, I\'d like very game to be a perfect 10, but that doesn\'t happen.  Not on xbox and not on PS2.  The latter is what you so conveinently forget.

morrowind got its ratings from depth of gameplay, nothing more

its like the reveiwers felt obligated to give high marks cause of all the work betheda put into it

anyways, i was dissapointed in stuntman, and ive claimed this repeatedly

if the PS2 was \'teh xbox k1LLah!!11\'
than the tables would be turned, i assure you

Right, it couldn\'t be that morrowind got its ratings because people actually like it.

I\'ve never once heard you say anything about Stuntman, and I read most threads here.  Perhaps its becasue you don\'t sing that song as often or as loudly.  Nor do you bring it up in every other thread.

And all this nonsense about \'teh ps2 k1LLah!!11\' is common fanboy ammo.  PS2 zealots have claimed the death of the xbox just as often, just as insistently.  Why then do you not mock them?  The salvos go both ways, the only difference is that you are a general in the PS2 camp.

What of the GC, you don\'t mock it?  Their fanboys are just as rabid.  Could it be that the xbox is the bigger threat and that\'s why you lash out at it every chance you get?

GameSpy.com Review

http://gamespy.com/reviews/july02/enclavexbox/

Quote
With the success of Baldur\'s Gate Dark Alliance on the PlayStation 2, console gamers have proven themselves a viable audience for hack-and-slash games that take place in mythic worlds with a host of characters. The latest such title is called Enclave from Conspiracy Entertainment and Starbreeze Studios for the Xbox.

While the storyline may be a little forced, the goal being to release the peaceful city of Celenheim from the evil clutches of the Dreg\'Atar who have separated the city into "Light" and "Dark" worlds, Enclave does begin with some promising action. After an explosion and jailbreak, you (playing first as a tax-troubled knight) start to pick up potions and gold that can be used to upgrade weapons throughout the game.

With 12 playable characters, Enclave is wonderfully deep. The Light and Dark campaigns each offer six characters with the former offering: a knight, a huntress, a wizard, a druid, an engineer, and a halfling. On the Dark side of things, there\'s a berserker, an assassin, a sorceress, a lich, a bombardier, and a goblin. It\'s this list of characters that is the finest thing about Enclave. Because all of these creatures each have their own special abilities, you\'ll have to choose wisely before starting a mission. You\'ll be able to unlock individual characters and take them through certain levels.

Enclave can be played in either a first- or third-person view. This is beneficial as playing in the first-person assists with certain attacks as well as surveying the landscape for switches that open doors and potions that increase health. While it is quite generous of the folks at Starbreeze to incorporate both views, each can be frustrating to the point of having to constantly switch between them in order to find the best way to attack an enemy.

Because of the sometimes-frustrating camera, attacking a crew of enemies is a pain in the nether region and mastering the control scheme for each of the different playable characters takes a little bit of time to learn -- a luxury in any of the battle sequences that you simply don\'t have.

The controls are set up similarly to that of Halo with the left and right thumbsticks used to crouch and jump. Getting used to this should be a breeze for most Xbox gamers, however, playing from the third-person view, this scheme did not work for me "right off the bat." I was too busy trying to move my character in order to get into position to attack. I became increasingly angry when I would get too close to an enemy that I could not see it all. This was overcome when I realized that I could hold down the action button and constantly move back and forth, in and out of the immediate battle. When the controls are mastered they work well to eliminate enemies that are as plentiful as they are pesky.

What keeps Enclave from being listed as an "also-ran" are its graphics and gameplay. Shadows and lighting effects are up there with the best games for the Xbox -- I spent more then a few minutes just checking out the sky and the cloud. When you are greeted by another character in the city, the conversations are quick and to the point. The sound in the game changes with the mood of either the battle or the mission. It is that booming orchestral sound combined with the DVD aspect of the start and mission menus that you would expect in this type of game.

While the game\'s graphics are, for the most part, completely immersive, the developers have cut some corners in places. For instance, when the knight switches weapons from his axe to the crossbow, he motions to grab something that is hanging on his back, however, there is no crossbow there. As if by unintended magic, the weapon appears in his hand. Also, as the axe is placed on his back it disappears. How hard would it have been to have the character\'s second weapon be apparent during gameplay? It takes the believability of the character, as well as a part of the game, out of the equation.

Also, the aforementioned Baldur\'s Gate has the most amazing ripple effects in water this side of a PS2 golf game. However, when traversing through a pool of water in Enclave, there\'s not a ripple to be found; a small gripe I know, but one worth mentioning.

There are a few other graphical glitches, such as when an enemy is killed on a set of stairs its body lays flat, half on the steps and half-suspended in. Also, when blood pours from an enemy it disappears before it hits the ground. While these problems may be trivial and they do not take away from gameplay, they are what keeps Enclave on the doorstep of the elite games for the Xbox.

Finally, gamers who may be looking for a deep adventure should consider Enclave. While there are a few graphical elements in the game that could\'ve used a little more studio time, there are just as many gameplay elements that enhance the game. If it\'s another mythic world your after, Enclave should not be overlooked.
