yup its all to do with making games for the over 30 million PS2 (highly profitable)

or

making a conversion to the X box and lose money due to the User base

hence the reason why it went to the PC after the PS2.

Result

RockStar and DMA make a huge WAD of MONEY...and both PC and PS2 owners are happy...

The article I posted should prove that MS will not allow that sort of trend to happen.  If things start to slide, they\'ll pull out a billion dollars and buy Sega and/or Square or some other company; they\'ll buy some high profile exclusives and the gamers will come.

It doesn\'t matter how much you hope that MS goes out of the VG market with its tail between their legs, because it ain\'t going to happen.  MS has invested too much to bow out.  Besides, it\'s not their style.

That\'s great.

MS will buy up every company until there is nothing but shit on other consoles.  Way to go MS.

Next thing you know Nintendo will go to only making games and MS will attempt to buy them up, too.

yeah, nataku, because Sony would never buy controlling stake in a company to secure exclusives....

The ignorance of some people around here...

Yeah, but we don\'t have to worry about that right now. I mean, it is not like Sony would ever by a mass amount of stock in Square to tie them up, now is it? Or Nintendo doin\' the same to Rare?...Oh wait, you mean they did ?

about Sony/Square. I believe if Sony wouldn\'t have bought those 19%, Microsoft or another company would have. That\'s just how low the price was after the flop "the spirits whitin" - so in that essence, you can\'t blame Sony for doing what needed to be done.

And Sony is a completely different matter to me. Microsoft has proven their sneakiness and ways of succeding through bruteforce tactics already. Hell, if you read up on MS\'s "Palladium", I really can\'t show much anticipation to what Microsoft is capable off and might do to the industry with its money. Scary thought...

And that is my point seven-MS is no different from Sony.
