cd players are friggin\' everywhere and the mere fact that you are worried that it doesn\'t play them is absurd
No chippy, its not absurd. I didnt have a CD player or a DVD player till i got my ps2. Actully i really couldn\'t decide if i should get a ps2 or wait for the gamecube to come out. But when i was alerted to the features, (or should i say lack there of!) that the game cube has; it was an easy decision. I wasnt aware fully if it could or could not play music, but i knew for sure it cant play DVDs.
Here are some facts fo you chippy: The gaming industry is moving forward. It more than a seperate peice of equipment we plug in to play games. Its evolution man! The course of evolution states: Adapt or DIE!!!
Nintendo has had its glory days.... its had its 15 minutes of fame. But it time to start to think in the present. The present where the console is a thing of that past. Today, its gaming SYSTEMS that are the new. (hey maybe your a 60 year old man who isnt used to change chippy, its ok...we understand)
It cannot be denied that this is the way of the future lets have a look at some figures:
Current % of next-generation hardware market (as of May,2002):
PS2 -- 71%
XBX -- 16%
GCN -- 13%
Cumulative sales total as of May, 2002
PS2 -- 9,200,000
XBX -- 2,118,000
GCN -- 1,682,000
There you go, evidence that the general population DEMANDS that their systems have:
** CD player abilites
** DVD playback
The future of systems is UNDENIABLE, you either integrate or become instinct.
Can you buy a stereo for $10 + leads, speakers etc?????..LOL
