What\'s amazing is seven didnt even list all of the games.. where the **** is Vagrant Story!?!  You don\'t get 40/40 from Famitsu for nothing, friend.  No Final Fantasy IX.. no Rage Racer (altogether better than any of the other Ridge Racer games)

PSX had more AMAZING games as well.  Some of the games you listed werent even as good as 3/4 of the games listed by seven.  In fact, I can count only 5 games you listed that could really be considered AMAZING.  Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask and Mario64.  PSX had far more.  I guess it is opinion, but your games listed were FAR outweighed by the PSX games listed.

Puh, I recently got out of a debate at a Nintendo forum that Square on the PSX were > Nintendo on the N64.. go figure :)

The Saturn had amazing titles the competition couldn\'t touch. Or in some cases, couldn\'t even handle.

Especially for importers...

True versions of Capcom\'s Vs series.

Dungeons & Dragons Collection

Panzer Dragoon Saga

Guardian Heroes

Superior versions of all 2-D Capcom games

Superior controller
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Each unto his own...go to http://forum.edge-online.com and try to tell that to people there.

One reason why Nintendo is disliked is because of the "kiddy" argument, which is ironic because the people are being self-concious and juvenile themselves when they talk about Nintendo in this light. I\'m 17, and quite frankly, I couldn\'t care less what people think of me enjoying Nintendo games.

CS2x, while IYourHM no game can match Zelda\'s magic there are more than a few who think it wasn\'t even very good. Discounting those I\'ve heard bitch about it on forums like this, I have a nephew (he was about 16 at the time) who found Zelda cool at the beginning of the game but thought it really boring and repetitive for the most part. His choice of best game ever is Legends of Dragoon, the Zeldas on N64 aren\'t even in the running. Other PSX games on seven\'s list people have chosen repeatedly as best game ever are;

Ape escape
Chrono Cross
FF7(#1 to many by a wide margin)  8&9 also
FF Tactics
GT, certainly best racer ever to a mast majority
Tomb Raider
Xenogears

there are more but you should understand Zelda just doesn\'t cut it for everyone who has played it. You hate Tomb Raider? Come on, even most people who hate the series will admit the original was great. Hate for Crash just makes it embarrassingly obvious you\'re in love with Mario and what you really hate is the idea a well done rip off became wildly popular.

A few biggies seven didn\'t list;

Armored Core
Brave Fencer Musashi
Breath of Fire III&IV
Diablo
Jet Moto series
Klona (hard to find but an all time favorite among many who\'ve played)
MDK
Parasite Eve 1&2
Rayman
Twisted Metal
WarCraft
Wild Arms 1&2

BTW, you would be surprised how many people list ICO as the best game ever, not just for PS2. The game has a cult status over at IGN and to me it\'s well deserved.

No, my hatred for Crash doesn\'t show I in love with Mario at all. Those games were just poorly designed imo, even though they did push the PSX technically. They simply bored me.

I\'ll admit the first Tomb Raider was great though...but then it got boring and they over-did the franchise.

I\'ll admit I\'m in the minoroty definately with this one, but yes, I disliked all the Final Fintasies after 7....

Tis true, The Saturn is better than PSX and N64, especially if you like decent to classic fighting games. The amount of import games I have on my Saturn is almost as many games as I have on PSX and N64 combined. Plus where else could you play the innovative or just outright fun games by Sega? Panzer Dragoon series, Virtua Fighter 2, Deep Fear, Dragon Force, Sakura Taisen 1 and 2, NiGHTS, Virtual On, Sega Rally Championship, World Series 98, etc.
Not to mention 3rd party efforts like XMen vs. SF, XMen: COTA, Marvel Superheroes, Resident Evil, Duke Nukem 3D, Tomb Raider, Saturn Bomberman, etc.

That said PSX > N64 by a large margin. That quality over quantity is crap, especially when the competition has roughly the same good to crap ratio as you, but with 5 times as many games.  Sure N64 had it\'s Goldeneye, but PSX had it\'s Medal of Honor. Great games came out all the time for PSX, for N64, you would wait half a year for a gem to come out. Anyone who says N64 is better than PSX didn\'t own a PSX or didn\'t play more than a few of it\'s games. Does N64 have anything to match Twisted Metal 2? Medal of Honor? Grandia? fighting games? RPGs? sports games? etc, etc, etc!

I hate all FF after 7 too (probably even earlier).

Aaahhh well. I suppose this is mainly a PS2 forum....

I don\'t mind if people prefer the PSX\'s games, but please do not start talking about sales...after all, the Dreamcast had the best games in the 128 bit generation and look what happened to that! Plus, the N64 came almost two years later...

even in a N64 forum, any rational person would tell you the PSX had more A+ titles

the numbers cant be disputed

I already admitted my PSX had more good games, but like I said, PERSONALLY, I think that not one PSX game (except maybe MGS, but that was too short and had too many videoclips for my liking) could match up to Mario 64 or Zelda. But that\'s just my opinion.

The PSX was a better all round console. It had more fighting and driving games. But IMO, nothing on it matched Zelda or Mario. OK? :)
