Oh yeah and there\'s 5 shaolin boys who have tattoos on their backs.

Ahhh, yes, thats "The New Legend Of Shaolin".

Excellent martial arts choreography.

Jet Li\'s name is Hung Hei Kwun and there\'s a really cute girl named Ms Red Bean and her hilarious mother.

And his son was supposed to be named Man Ting.

Stupid westernization...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

The way I understand it there were 12 original animals that Shaolin Kung-Fu was patterened after.
  • Tiger
  • Snake
  • Dragon
  • Eagle
  • Krane
But that\'s the only ones I know.  There\'s lots of variations of Kenpo which is a form of Karate.  White Tiger is the most popular.

Yes, in regards to shaolin that is correct. However there are many other animal styles. Plus many family styles, additional animal styles, synthesis of styles..

White ape
grey crane
dog style
monkey style
**Styles containing animal sub sets like Bagua: horse, chicken, rooster + 9 more animals
white eyebrow..blah blah blah

Id say there could easily be over 250 plus styles of what is calssified as kung fu (i have read some reports of up 1500...but i cannot validate this)

I have seen a kung fu style of white tiger which has its page on the internet... i thought this could have been your school:

http://www.tigerkungfu.com/

But if its Kenpo.. then i guess not!

Also known as "The Emperor\'s Art," White Tiger Kung Fu has been passed down through the Doo family for nearly 400 years.

This above exerpt from the \'history section\' seemed to fit your profile.

The worst thing about bringing HK cinema over here is the riduiculous dubbing.

Keep it subtitled or you\'re just insulting them.

Lucky for me, I can understand both.

That\'s quite a coincedince about White Tiger Kung-Fu being the "Emperor\'s art".  I\'ll look into it.

The creation of White Tiger Kenpo is kind of disputed as to who the original creator is.  But I think that it\'s a style that was created in America.

That\'s not my school\'s webpage.  I just posted it b/c Tom Saviano is one of the people who claims he created White Tiger Kenpo.

If I trained with UFC guys I\'d probably have more injuries than I do now.

There are many people who claim to have created the "White Tiger Kenpo" system. In truth, these systems are not related to each other. There are a thousand systems with a thousand names. Most of these animal names are nothing more than a school name. Most of the time, they do not reflect the style.

The system you refer too is actually called "Saviano\'s White Tiger Kenpo". It started as a nickname for his black belts given by Master John McSweeney, an earlier student of Ed Parker in the late 50\'s. Mr. Saviano liked the name and decided to add it to his school name. He changed it to White Tiger, originally "Saviano\'s Tigers",  because he wanted a unique animal to represent his school and system.

Well that\'s the story. I know, I\'ve been a Saviano White Tiger for about 12 years now.
