I didn\'t see you say whether you knew someone who died anywhere in your posts.  By the way, I\'m still asking if you did.

I probly ain\'t gonna do **** in rememberance of 9/11 aside from maybe watch a few TV specials on it. It\'s jus another day to me... but whoever wants to light candles and hold vigils, be my guest. I can\'t believe you\'re telling people to forget it an move on Luckee.. after all, we still hold candlelight vigils over the attack on Pearl Harbor. That\'s been.. what.. 50 years? Gease, maybe someone should tell these folks that the wars over and Japan is now an ally. We\'ve jus been a bunch lil weak p***ys for the past 50 years huh?

SO I can admit I was a kinda harsh, video\'s statement is my reason for saying what I did. Im just tired of it forced upon to me no matter what magazine,TV station or newspaper I pick up. My opinion still stands however.

Yes..Im the pansy american that has enlisted.........try again

Well Hoo-Rah for soldiers like you. Hope bootcamp gives you an attitude adjustment for people losing their lives at the hands of complete idiots.

Your second post was a little more thought out. I hope you have realized why I said what I said. If you haven\'t, hey, whatever.

I knew no one that died that terrible day. Still in my mind, every man, woman, and child that lost their lives was my brother or sister. I\'ll go about my business on 9/11, but I\'ll silently say a prayer for everyone that was lost.

We were attacked because we send men and women to a tormented region to try and keep it stable. They attacked us because of our military presence in the Middle East. Hoping that we would retaliate against Islam. Well we didn\'t retaliate agaisnt Islam, we retaliated against the cowards that planned out and executed the attack. I have no problems with peaceful followers of the Islamic releigion. Not everyone is so determined to wage a Jihad against America. Our government sometimes should mind their own business, but to have people doing inhumane acts against other human beings, we have to step in for the sake of peace. If we were to stand by and do nothing, the problems would esculate and someone would eventually press that nuke button.

Luckee, your earlier statements struck a nerve with me. It\'s simply with the way you worded your view on the subject. I hold no hard feelings against you personally. I don\'t know you, all I know of you is that some of your opinons you post for everyone to read, sometimes are just plain stupid. And hey this is jusy my opinion. And I\'m sure their are many that dislike me, or my opinions here. I do not care, nor do I lose sleep at night thinking what someone from a forum board thinks about me. Just as you shouldn\'t ;)

Now, I have said what I wanted to say. To anyone that doesn\'t agree with anything I have said, thats fine with me, I\'m not asking you to. I hope this thread stays civil, and people continue to share their thoughts about the upcoming aniversary.

Good, I\'m happy to see that you have some class. As I said earlier, I hold nothing against you personally, I just don\'t agree with you most of the time.

I guess it\'s just the way you said it..."Pansy americans that still havent gotten over this yet make me sick."  I can understand if you said that you\'re sick of 9/11 being everywhere and all that, but for those who did lose people in that stuff, I really disagree with that statement.

I feel bad for those who died and all that, but I think there is a point where people just need to get over it... I mean if you sit and cry about someone who is dead what good will that do you or them??
I also am kinda disgusted in the way people are praising those who died in 9-11 as "heros".  They were just normal people doing there everyday routine and just happened to be in a bad place at a bad time..  People who were on the 2 planes however should be called heros more than anyone in the buildings... I know that sounds crucial but that is my opinion and I am not trying to offend anyone or anything.  Sorry if I did...

Granted, I don\'t think everyone who died should be considered a hero, but alot of ordinary people did some extraordinary things that day. Certainly the firefighers who gave their lives in an attempt to save other\'s should be considered heroes. The people who stayed behind to help others to the stairwell, or who went back into the inferno to pull out co-workers. Much of the bravery from that day we never heard about because.. well.. those people a the lives they tried to save were lost.

Certianly the people who stayed at "ground zero" in 48 hour shifts to dig through the rubble for survivors should be considered hero\'s as well, and that includes every citizen whos stood in line passing buckets of rubble and bodyparts back away from the disaster area while passing up food and water to the people risking their lives in that hellhole.

So yeah.. granted while the guy who jumped screaming from the 100th story doused in flames didn\'t necessarrily do anything heroic.. there are alot of people who did. Calling everyone who died there a hero was a blanketing statement ment to recognise those individuals and comfort those who lost people important to them.

Also, is the attacks over? Do you think there could be an attack on 9/11/2002? I hope not. What do you guys think? How was 9/11 effected you personally and what will you do in remembrance of that day.

I\'m sure there is a strong chance for some kind of terrorist attack. I think that we could return to our normal lives faster if the media doesn\'t keep putting pressure on the whole thing by reminding us what happened.  9/11 hasn\'t really affected me too much. I wasn\'t directly affected it. "God damn terrorists" is the main thing I say about it.

I\'m probably not going to hold a candle-lit vigil.  Maybe draw a flag instead.  I am over the whole fact of the attack, but just to remember that something like this happened can\'t harm anyone.  I have family who live in NY and one cousin was pretty close to the site when it happened; knowing that she could have been underneath the buildings at the time really scares me, even now.
And though she be but little, she is fierce.
