You making this statement is "quite funny" No one has been "bashing" luckee. Most people disagreed with his first post and elaborated their thoughts against it.

Even he stated his first statements were "kinda harsh" And I belive the difference of opinions was settled.

I too agree the media has forced the 9/11 attacks on us every day for the last year. That wasn\'t the issue we were discussing concearning luckee\'s post.

Why don\'t you share your thoughts on the upcoming aniversary of 9/11?
[sarcasm]I\'m sure you would have something interesting on the subject Boz. [/sarcasm]

omen, you are hilarous.

BTW, the flag thing Rya said is a good idea. I remember running a small American flag on my car the days after 9-11.. I think I will be doing it again this time around.

Granted, I don\'t think everyone who died should be considered a hero, but alot of ordinary people did some extraordinary things that day. Certainly the firefighers who gave their lives in an attempt to save other\'s should be considered heroes. The people who stayed behind to help others to the stairwell, or who went back into the inferno to pull out co-workers. Much of the bravery from that day we never heard about because.. well.. those people a the lives they tried to save were lost.

Certianly the people who stayed at "ground zero" in 48 hour shifts to dig through the rubble for survivors should be considered hero\'s as well, and that includes every citizen whos stood in line passing buckets of rubble and bodyparts back away from the disaster area while passing up food and water to the people risking their lives in that hellhole.

So yeah.. granted while the guy who jumped screaming from the 100th story doused in flames didn\'t necessarrily do anything heroic.. there are alot of people who did. Calling everyone who died there a hero was a blanketing statement ment to recognise those individuals and comfort those who lost people important to them.

Don\'t get me wrong I never said that the firefighters and police weren\'t heros.. I think they did a great job and they risked their ass doin their job..

Then again, thats what they get paid to do. SO I kinda look at them like hero\'s then again its their duty to be so.

I also know of cops who have turned tail and ran from a few stories my cop uncle has told the family. So maybe some dont see it as their job.

I don\'t think a cop is a "hero" until he does something heroic.  True we/they are ready to protect civilians lives at a moments notice, but many wouldn\'t do so if their lives were in danger.  I don\'t believe that the mark of hero should be bestowed on someone souly because of their job title, however I do believe they deserve the utmost respect.

this all comes from a Police cadet, just incase people think I\'m an ass.

If you don\'t argue with luckee, then the terrorists have WON.

These attacks take years to plan, I see no reason to be concerned or worried.

Other than flight training, yes, it takes alot of time for a few guys to hijack a plane with box cutters and fly them into objects.

Well the "plan" in general takes time. They weren\'t just sitting around watching the Jets game and said, hey lets go smash those big buildings there with some airplanes! tuckuh, tuckuh, duckuh, jihad, jihad, jihad.
