Australia to get different/exclusive version of GTA Vice City

According to IGN, Gameaustra and a few other sources, Rockstar will be developing an exclusive version of GTA VC for the Australian market. Due to Australia not having an R+18 rating for games, VC does not fit an MA15+ catagory.

Australia will get an edited version of the game which will be missing all the prostitutes on the side walks, etc.

Also, it is rumoured that the Australian version will have an exclusive mission and a few other surprises because of the hacked version Australians will be made to play.

You Aussie\'s are getting screwed on gaming. Games are becoming more adult oriented and Austrilia hasn\'t picked up on this, meaning you all are getting edited garbage or simply not getting it.

No, GTA 3 wasn\'t banned. simply pulled off shelves after being on them for months, had a 3 second scene removed from the game so it could fit the MA15+ classification.

The way I see it, the OFLC is going to have to impliment an R18+ classification soon, as more and more games are being released and then being rejected, simply because they don\'t fit the MA15+ criteria, which is understandable.

To fix this whole mess, all they would need to do is create an R rating and have it inforced (much like buying cigarettes, alcohol etc).

so what scene was cut from the game??? do you actually know??? i still aint done the last mission, was stuck on the one b4, where u have to shoot down the plane, not that i tried that much, i lent it to my bro for a few months, and when i got it back had new games, and wasnt into it, you know what i mean..., this time im gonna do all the sub missions (phone calls etc) before i do the main ones, cos trying to do the gran turismo one and having all the chinese peep on is v hard

Yah, not only that, but the game came out INCREDIBLY buggy.

GTA3 in the UK could also be toned down by selecting german on the language selector (gemany supposedly had a toned down version without blood). Maybe Vice City will be the same, if you try selecting a different language you might get the full unedited version.

The scene that got banned was when you sleep with the hooker, then kill her and take the money back.

Its a 3 second cut scene, no biggy, but still the fact that it got removed.

Racer, more then 3 secs was removed outta GT3 here. The whole idea of picking up pros to root em and get more energy was removed. I got the pc version, US version.
