That\'s bullshit. You know why the Bulls and Pacers games were close? It\'s called a heated rivalry. Those games are different, but it has nothing to do with how the teams matchup. It\'s all about emotion. When you get two teams that truly hate eachother, emotion gets involved in the playing of the game. The better team gets distracted, and the worse team gets motivated. It can be seen in any sport. These things don\'t happen where there isn\'t this sort of heat between the teams.
Texas A&M beating Oklahoma had nothing to do with matchups. I\'ll tell you what it was though. For A&M, this was a game to look forward to all season. A game to focus on, to dream about, to prepare for. So when the game came, they knew exactly what to do, and were extra motivated for it. Oklahoma, on the other hand, was overlooking this team, and weren\'t as well prepared. That\'s why upsets happen, and why it\'s so hard to go undefeated. It was partially about what OU didn\'t do, sure, but it was mainly about what Texas A&M did. Matchups? Once again, not a chance. Hell, how many starters you think the teams still have from two years ago? It\'s about emotion.
