I must say, I am extremely impressed with all of these games in some form and impressed with all these great-looking games on the Cube. Here are my impressions from the movies I saw.
RE4 looks downright amazing for being realtime. It looks just like RE:R, which is very impressive considering it had pre-rendered backrounds. If Capcom comes through with its promise of a totally unique and different RE game, then it might be an AAA game. Sorry, but awful/clunky controls and lame stories(Re:0) don\'t cut it anymore.
Viewtiful Joe looks original from the movie I saw. It was like an action-platformer of some sort. Not like Metroid because it did have some real-platforming going on. The graphics are pretty sweet too. Though I\'m not convinced it will be an AAA title since I generally dislike of all Capcom\'s previous platformer efforts, but I do not doubt it completely. Looks like a potential sleeper hit. I\'m a platformer fanatic so I might just love this game.
Product Number 3 looks awesome. It has the futuristic look perfected, and the small amount of action I saw looked pretty fun(a girl jumping from side to side in a hall while being shot at by a huge robot). Very impressive. Looks like a potentially great action game.
Killer 7 is quite simply, the best looking game I have ever seen in terms of style. The cel-shading fits it very well. I think its the best looking cel-shaded game to date. It looks exactly like a dark-comic book. Just look at the blood splashes on the wall. Pheonominal. The story sounds pretty interesting too(some old-man who has 7 different hitman personalities? awesome?)I haven\'t seen any gameplay from the movies I witnessed, but just look at its ****ing spectacular art-style! Look!
I\'m definitely impressed with Dead Phoenix the most of out all these potentially great games. The promise of totally free flying sounds amazing. I\'ve been dreaming of something like that for as long as I can remember. The environments in it looked wicked too, which adds to the whole free experience greatly. The action I saw looked pretty cool too. A LOT of enemies on screen at once. Looked very frantic and fun.
Overall, I couldn\'t be more impressed with Capcom regarding these titles. All of them have the potential to be great games. If the live up to their expections, then I have no doubt Capcom will be the developer of the year in 2003. 5 AAA titles from one developer on one system is quite the number for just one year.
