Bordael,

Are they having trouble getting enough people to test the game?  It seems like they are trying extra hard to get people to help out.

PS - Can I borrow your job for a sec.   ;)

We have had huge response, but not everyone has the network adaptor.  Also, we really want to pound the game _hard_ before release so it is as solid as possible, and we want to let everyone who wants to get in and help the opportunity to do so.

What feedback, if any, are you looking to get from people involved in phase 3?  Are you just wanting to test out your servers to see how they handle the masses of PS2\'s?

How long will phase 3 be in "play"?

Are they using "phase 3" as a way to get people "hooked"?

Ok I guess you are for real :)  Anyway, I was going to send some more feedback, but I assume the Beta III DVD\'s are being created as we speak.

Juslight - we do hope to test out our servers with increasing loads of numbers of players.  It is mission critical for us to have a rock solid back end.  We have seen this in previous phases of beta where we have had high numbers of log ins, but because people couldn\'t stay connected, they didn\'t stay playing, which is not going to cut it come release time.

Also, we have consistently seen where a large number of people will uncover issues we didn\'t find in our testing process (al la EverQuest on the PC).  By including a lot of people in these latter stages of Beta we hope to present a really polished, rock solid game come release.

although there is only one server up for the various Beta tests but there will be multiple servers at launch to accomodate everyone.

Having played EQ on the PC for 2 years this is quite different.  I look forward to the next beta.

I\'ve never played the PC version but I caught a biography about EQ on G4 TV and I couldn\'t wait for it to come out for the PS2...Or the Beta III version.

More options in the original PC version.  Also it takes much longer to level.  It still takes long to level in EQOA, but its cut down dramatically.  Also there are so many different clothing options and looks even for low level characters.  Being this is only the 2nd beta it will be interesting to see what they have added for phase 3.

The PC version is much more time consuming.  Then again I haven\'t seen everything this game has to offer.  I wonder what the monthly fee will be.  Surely it won\'t be the same as the PC version.  I hope.
