I don\'t care for it and neither should you. It is better to keep the whole counter hidden - for it is still easily accessible if one is interested in knowing his / hers count, or the counts of the fellow members.

I believe the decision to \'hide\' the post-counter was good - for it reduces spamming / trolling to an extent. It also gives a nice "We don\'t give a damn about post-counts" -message to the newbies, whom so easily fall into the temptations of the counter and spam only to make their egos grow.

Clowd, as an experienced PSX2Centralite you should know that the post-count will not become visible. I, at least, enjoy the ability to check my counter when I wish - and only when I wish. I have promised to check the counter only once a week. That way I can surprise myself.

For example I have 300 more posts than Darth Joyda, meaning I am cooler than he is.

no, post counts should only be displayed after you achieve 10,000 post :D

/me thinks the spamrate will explode....

Do you guys honestly think people post any differently now than they did before?  If so, how?

Omen is still raping people, Bobbo still whines about things not being funny and spam while posting pics of socks and nose hairs, Vapor is still a goof.

No one changed.  I just don\'t see what it did.  I\'m not saying we should put it back up cause it really doesn\'t matter, but to say that it\'s good that it\'s gone because it cut down spam is just plain stupid.

Holic, believe me when I say that it does cut down potential spamming among newer members. When a member is not yet a part of the community, he / she usually thinks that he / she needs a big post-count to impress the regulars. When we have no post-counts on immediate display, we signal the newbie that the counter does not have any effect among us.

Of course the older regulars have learned that post-counts aren\'t significant. Whether it would be instantly visible, or not present at all, we wouldn\'t change. But question yourself - there has to be a reason behind the decision to make the post-counts visible only via viewing the person\'s profile.

That\'s my pet name.  Only the little man knows.

And newbies that spam get pummled anyway.

Who cares if people post a lot? It\'s what makes the board healthy.  I hate coming here when there is nothing new.   And there hasn\'t been crap in a week.  But that\'s just the season.  People aren\'t around much right now.

Agreed, Spam is healthy if not over-consumed. :)

I average more posts per day on this server than anyone else here.  Over 4000 in 11 months, which comes to a little more than 12 posts a day :)

I had 123 post my first day here. Imagine if I kept that up...
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.
