I found the DVD version to very washed-out,  and a touch too grainy for my liking. If anyone has seen A.I. on disc, you may have noticed that these two releases are not dissimliar in their lack of quality. I suspect that both might see a re-release under the guise of a "Special Edition", with hopefully an improved transfer, which is not that uncommon with this medium.
Actually that would be because of the movie; not because of a bad transfer. The movie is grainy, washed-out, blue etc.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!

Yes, I do acknowledge the visual style of the film.  However, I did find that it served as more of a distraction rather than a compliment to the overall movie, I am speaking specifically about the grain. But upon further investigation, I found that you are absolutely correct, and that this is not the result of a bad transfer. Guess I\'m a touch too sensitive about what\'s displayed on the old tube, I suspect HD is starting to spoil it for everything else.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
