Oh and Kojima didnt say 9/11 directly affected sales he said it had an impact. And I agree with him there. Sure it probaly was barely a factor but to say the 9/11 tragedy didnt affect sales at all is ludicrous.
Still.... I disagree with that. Sure 9/11 hurt the game a bit on the
developing side. He had to cut out or rearange some latter part
of the game (which takes place in NY) which took him time .
So in the end we only spend 0,1 % of the game in NY ; the fight versus Solidus. Since ppl who hadn\'t played it yet, don\'t know about that ; playing a very very small amount of time in NY at the very end of the game. How could they\'ve objected to play the game becuz of that if they didn\'t know (and again... it\'s only a very small part at the end). So.. blaming 9/11 for lagging sales at the end of 2002 (with a game like Splinter Cell on the rise) :o
C\'mon... somewhere back he said he kinda didn\'t see him self active in a MGS3 project, he asked Japanese players for advice on MGS3... LOL you gotta admit \'demand = money\' for MGS3 is high.
Kojima ran out of quality ideas a looooong time and now he\'s gotta stretch out the ones (few ?) he still has for MGS3.
So... get rid of vampires, sexual related story items (Raiden, Vamp..being bi-sexual...the stuff with Otacon and his stepmom and so on) and a get a bit of realism back into the game. Every time I\'m surprised my temper rises to flamable hights, whenever I think of MGS2... did it lt me down soooo much.. yeah it did becuz I like MGS1 so much. (and the full money I payed for MGS2.... yeah games are THAT expensive here in Europe ; € 69.... that\'s about the same in USDollars... hmmppf 65 USD maybe)
