Anyone else excited about Zelda yet?
« on: February 09, 2003, 10:43:14 PM »
I was just walking through Best Buy, picking up some CD\'s today, when I noticed a demo of Wind Waker playing on a TV.  I went and picked up the controller, started to mess around, and all I can say is, WOW.

I was kind of in a hurry, so I only played for a couple of minutes.  Still, I can see that this game is going to waste many hours for me when it comes in March.  It\'s like playing a cartoon.  It looks fantastic in person.

I was like a kid again, smiling as I played it and just enjoying the way it was animated and felt.  I can\'t wait.  Anybody else played the demo yet?  Also, anyone know how I could get hold of the demo to tide me over till the release?

Yeah, I am. I hated the "Celda" look at first.. and while I still ain\'t too keen on it.. I have to say that graphically, the game looks stupendous. I didn\'t get a chance to play.. the WalMart NGC controller was all busted up and un-useable.. but considering that there are very few -bad- or even -medeocre- Zelda games out there.. I can hopefully rest assured that this will be a stellar game for my collection.

Indeed I am excited, and waiting!  Shortly I\'ll have my remakes, I\'ll beat those and move onto Wind Waker.  I got my GBA Zelda game to hook up to GCN, so things are looking good.

I didn\'t find it all that impressive...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Zelda is the best franchise ever, and since this WILL be a sequal to Oot, there\'s no possible way I can miss this one.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

I\'ve been excited about this since the GameCube was announced.

The change to cel-shading didn\'t faze me; it\'s Nintendo EAD, it\'s Shigeru Miyamoto, and most importantly.. it\'s Zelda. I knew this game would rule over most/all other 2003 fare from th\' get-go. Halo 2\'s gonna have to be one God damned astonishing game to beat what Nintendo GameCube owners are getting on March 24th.

I got my disk today and I played Zelda at the Cube Club that was here in SF at the end of November.  That game is going to be so darn awesome.  I can\'t wait for it!

I\'m very excited about it.  I was excited from the moment it was announced, and the cell shading only boosted the excitement in time.
