I\'ve got it!
raterhrbe = rather be

<---- Master linguist right here.

Eh, not sure who I\'d be, probably:

Jason Newsted from Metallica.
Too bad he left.

Or maybe:

The bassist from Mudvayne, currently known as R-üD.
This guy is hardcore.

Yeah I\'d also rather be myself but famous for my own music. I\'ve never wanted to be someone else. I\'ve wanted to have someone else\'s celebrity, money, or women but  I have never actually wanted to be anyone else.

I don\'t believe it was to be taken so literally.

Maybe if he changed it to: What rockstar do you envy?

You do know he\'s dead, right? So... you might wanna reconsider..

I know he\'s dead, but it doesn\'t matter much to me...

Anyways, if I, me, me, if I was him then I would know to watch out for the crazy bitch who is planning to shoot me. Or maybe not...alas...

What a dork...I can\'t believe that guy is in a death metal band...
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame. I would list the many songs he has created, but if you don\'t know, than there is no hope. He is one of the greatest industrial rock artists. Not to mention a very talented musician.

As for Jumpy\'s comment about the looking "dorky". I don\'t think that matters. I actually work with a guy who is in a local death metal band. He looks rather dorky also, but his lyrics are friggin\' awesome. Great guitar player also.
Look\'s arent everything, ..well, unles you are into pop music.

I will say that in my younger days I was more into this guys music than I am today. The best CD to date in my oppinion is Pretty Hate Machine. "Head Like a Hole" still rings in my ears like a sunday church bell.

\'Head Like a Hole\' was a good song, there is no doubt about it. However, it was hardly his best work. The \'Pretty Hate Machine\' cd is filled with great songs, but the two that stand out the most in my mind are \'Something I can Never Have\' and \'RingFinger\'. And as much as I love that cd, it isn\'t his best work, that would almost have to go to \'The Downward Spiral\', though \'Broken\' is damn good itself.

His later work like \'The Fragile\' and \'All That Could Have Been\' are equally good, but don\'t have the same intense feel that the previous work had. Still, I think Trent has influenced a lot of artists and come on, he is  just a classic.

when I was 18, I lived in sacramento, CA. I was in an industrial band at the time, (only \'cos I couldn\'t find anyone else to be in a Misfits-style death-rock band) we opened for Pigface at the cattle club. (the first generation band) members included Paul Barker, that chick who was in the Ministry, Nivek Ogre, and Trent Reznor. After the show, we invited them back to our place for a party. The bus shows up, and everyone has a f*ckin rockin\' time.... except mr. reznor. He wouldn\'t get off of the bus because he said "I\'m way too talented to be slumming around this shithole." All the other members of the band were just bashing the shit out of him all night. then we all took acid and shit got weird.
anyhoo... NIN= old hat.  ;)
