*yawn* Penny Arcade has been lacking for almost a year now. Good thing I moved onto greener and funnier pastures, such as 8-Bit comics..etc.

The EB crew do seem a little "weird", but that cartoon still lacks humor.  And belive me, I dont need someone to tell me something is funny to find it funny myself.  Or if something is just flat out stupid for that matter.

I just came back from Costco, its a warehouse, you know sells stuff in bulk.

Anyway, Is this what EB is like?

I (my mom actually) was buying some food and shit.

This guy who was checking the food asks us; "What did you think of the Superbowl?" My mom, just looks at him funny and asks "It was alright.."

Then he just goes ON AND ON AND ON AND ON!!!! Asking these retarded questions. And since we bought about 400 dollars worth of food, we were in line for well about half an hour. I was seriously about to slap him.

When all the food was rang up, and paid for. The guy is still talking. I just look at my mom and lifted my eyebrows, and laughed.

We started walking away, and the guy yells "Alright, Guess I\'ll talk to you later Mrs. Gone!" ( he knew her last name from the reciept)

My mom just starts laughing.

Is that what its like? Because, if so I probably wont go to EB, ever.

I thought it was funny. Maybe because I used to work there and the guys that are there now act just like that.

BTW, My two favorite PA strips.

I guess that\'s why I found no humor in the PA mm had posted. I have connections at the EB here in Grand Rapids and they are pretty cool guys. I have never had the problems stated in that comic thus my reasons for not laughing.

You have to look at the facial expressionss.   If there IS one thing that Gabe\'s still really good at, it\'s subtle facial expressions.

Facial expressions or not, I guess I can’t find any humor in making light if some kid getting beat by his drunk mother with an extension cord.

Perhaps if you don\'t look at a comic strip as a serious peice of work commenting on society, and just look at it as a comic strip?...

My case in point friend. I cannot consider any humor based on the disfunctionality of anothers life to be funny.

One of the points/types of humor is to make light of serious situations.  If you start limiting yourself to non-offensive/controversial topics, that means religeous humor is out.  No political satire for you.  Nothing involving slapstick I guess, since people are hurt.  Forget ever putting in hard-life situations, so no doonsbury/cathy/ziggy comics?

Did you watch Dogma?  Half-Baked?  The New Guy?

Don\'t take life too seriously, you\'ll never get out of it alive.
