I posted because I wanted to, is there a problem Spudz? Okay, then.
And Unicorn! , if you want to look at it from that viewpoint, you may as well quit playing games. There are no truly original games. Everything is the same premise as classic games, \'cept brought to 3D. Yes, even those games you so often praise.
My point? It is quite hyprotical to to condem Dynasty Warriors for taking the beat\'em up genre for 3D, when every other game is doin\' the same and have been since the 3D genre started.
I wouldnt consider DW even an evolution.Usually the other games take the genre and add new ideas or improve a previous gameplay aspect which lacked due to technology limitations. What I see in DW is almost the same game I used to play just in 3D.
Should I pick DMC as an example? Its not the typical button mashing action game.
FF?KH?Vagrant Story?Today\'s RPG\'s have so much variety in gameplay that even if they dont deliver anything remerkably new u just dont pay much attention.Usually its the story that make u buy these games
GT3?I dont remember any 2D simulation games.Besides.GT3 is the game for Car lovers. Not just for gamers.
Burnout2?What previous game can be compared to it?Since the 32-bit days nothing.Any 2D game?Outrun?Still cant.It was always a straight highway just bending slightly to the left or to the right.
Rachet and Clank?HUGE worlds, and a variety of weapons and gadgets.
MGS2?Improved AI.Interactivity to the max,and the 3D cameras turned the game into something that could be truely called tactical espionage stealth game. Its like playing in a movie.
Bored to talk about other games. Its 1 o\'clock in the morning right now in Cyprus and I feel sleepy
For some genres the shift from 2D to 3D made the experiences
more exciting as it added gameplay ideas previously not possible.
But how has DW improved the genre\'s experience? They just threw a ton of characters on screen, a couple of buttons more, and added some character customization which I didnt find interesting enough. Its a button mashing game.
