Large enviroments? Its almost like playing on a flat surface. You cant even admire the enviroments.Too much fog.Massive amount of enemeis on screen but the game plays as if you are beating a few.You just press the buttons and your weapon hits 5 enemies simultaneously. Its not like dmc where you have to think about the enemies behind, left or right your character. There isnt enough skill put into the game.Decent story but not decent enough to make the characters feel "alive".They are "lifeless".there is no bond between the player and the game character. Its just a she or a he with a different armor and weapon. They arent memorable characters. The story IMO is mediocore.Just an excuse to make a concept for the game.
In prefer playing games like Golden Axe than DW.There is more skill in the 10+ years old GA than DW.
You do have to worry about enemies striking you from behind, left right and center! The map isn\'t completely flat! There are lots of paths that meander up a hill, or even a fortress gate! Fogging is a problem at times but even the Xbox version gets fogging.
And there is no "bond" between the player and character coz it\'s just a summary of battles that happened eons ago! There\'s no RPG character story....just battles that each character has to go through. There is no RPG elements other than how you win the battle which can determine the next path. You get some hit points added but that\'s about it.
Even from a fan like myslef - this game is mindless fun! It\'s not for everyone. But I like how I can turn the tide of battle on one portion of the map! The allies fight harder whenever I kick ass on the most strategic location whici in some ways is how real battles are like!
