So the war has been a cakewalk so far, so to speak.

But as we get to Baghdad where Saddam\'s elite troops are likely to be hiding through residential areas, sniping us from windows, things will change, no?

We should be in Baghdad in a day or two, and that\'s where the reistence will be.  That\'s where the casualties will come from.

I\'m not saying we\'re about to go down, just that it\'s going to get a lot uglier soon.

I agree, I think taking Baghdad will not be as easy. I also think, though, we will give them a couple more doses of shock and awe to soften them up even further.

Yeah, we have been bombing them for days with no stop. It has to have beaten them up significantly.

In what way?...

you think Saddam and his loyal troops were in the buildings the US bombed?

No way.  Sadam is smart enough to know that the US was going to bomb the buildings they did, If hes alive Saddam is in some residential area... or a school, or a hospital or something.

Urban warfare is very complex and the Defenders always have the advantage... im not saying in any way that Sadam has a chance but there will be many american casualties.

They said on FOX news that tomorrow there will be confirmation that Saddam was seriously injured int the first attack. He\'s not as smart as you think he is.

I hope this is true.

If it is true..why would it not be confirmed already?

I guess I mean if it is to be confirmed tommorrow, there is no reason for it to not be true and confirmed now. Even from a military aspect, I dont see what one day of realesing that info will do.

I saw that on the news last night. Lets just say I was half in the bag when I saw the report and fully in the bag when I posted that. :)

Saddam\'s death will be the only thing that can possibly make taking baghdad easy.  It\'s going to be tough.  We have to really hope the soldiers back down early and give up on their fearless leader.

Something is defintely up with Saddam.  That guy would definitely be on tv if he could be.
