in some ways, thats a good thing for the people

and they DO NOT get killed for speaking out against the govt
tiananmen square changed ALL that, and even then, the students were RIOTING, did they expect things NOT to get violent?  china has THE largest population of any nation in the world.  why do you think this is so?

the #1 goal of the war IS to take out saddam, thats a well established fact.  ESPECIALLY since GWB said it on national  TV

Why not Help Palestine ? why not Saubi arabia wich his paying for terrorisme and is the home land of Husama Ben laden ... Why not free Tibet wich has been occupied for many years now ...

no my good sir , Irak is not a treat to America , it has been decided that they were a treat on 911 day when they needed to point somebody ...

I beleive that they do want the oil there too ..

That 48 hour ultimatum was such a joke...what were they trying to do put Saddam out in the open so he would be an easier target?  Not a real surprise to me that they attacked him before the 48 hours was up....I dont know the specifics of these Geneva conventions but trying to assassinate a leader of a country without the support of the U.N.?...  The point has been and will always be Iraq belongs to Saddam Hussein.  Not GWB.  Cuba belongs to Fidel Castro.  Not JFK.

Saddam did everything in his power to avoid war.  He let the inspectors back in,  he started destroying his scud missles and disarming even more.  But the U.S. hurried through any sort of diplomacy or peace talks because they were so anxious to attack Iraq.  It was almost as GWB was possesed by something.  Why?  Because they feared Iraq attacking somebody?  What happened to that fear for 12 years?  Did they actually think Iraq would do something while they were in the spotlight?

Any reasonable person not blinded by patriotism can see the hypocrisy in this.
