I was talking about Chemical Ali...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

he killed those people during the wars and after the wars, he was responsible for most of the killings in Kuwait, and for putting down the uprising after the 1\'st gulf war, these are only a fraction of the things he\'s done.

who gave him the weapons to do the killing?

who never condemned the attacks?

Who only stepped in when their own interests where at stake?

OK, let me get this straight..

Chemical Ali ordered 100\'s of thousands of his own citizens killed to prove a point.

He left the bodies in the streets to rot to further his point.

AND YOU ARE BLAMING THE US FOR NOT CONDEMNING HIM?

Are you friggen insane?

An attack like this needs to be condemned by the US?  Huh?

Vid, it is very simple.

It is not like the US didnt know what type of ppl they were dealing with when selling them these things. That is exactly why they were playing both sides against the middle from 80-88.

They didnt sell these weapons to them thinking they were decent folk. They knew what would happen. When it happend at a time they didnt necessarily like, thats when they decided to take action.

Point is, they still knew all along.

Oh, I know.  And I think the US is wishing they never got involved in the first place.  I know I am.

I dont think that. I think now they are trying to cover their asses, but not necessarily regretful. I say that b/c of what I said earlier, they knew all along way back when, that it wasnt a good idea.

So why not help the enemy of the enemy. Then at the same time, still helping the enemy.

I personally think that the US was hoping each country would desimate each other and each country would be so weak after the war finally ended that nothing could come up.

So they were correct with Iran, but they underestimated Saddam and Iraq.

So like I said, I dont personally think they wish they never got involved, but more-so that they thought they could have their cake and eat it too.

One thing that still remains a question to me though. Why was all of this chemical warfare fine and dandy untill 91?

Then fine for another 12 years.
