Your favourite Book(s)?

What ever!  1984 is dark, droning and totally depressing.  It\'s the most suck ass book I\'ve ever read.  Animal Farm was better than 1984 even.

Anyway, I have a suggestion for your reading pleasure.  I know, you\'re all thinking... "another book suggestion, ho-hum." ...and I\'d be thinking the same thing if I were you.  However, there are tons of books I could recommend that I think would make any one of you happy and this one I KNOW WILL BLOW YOU ALL AWAY.   It\'s the most un-put-downable book I\'ve ever read.

1984 is depressing yes. But suck ass? NO!

Another great book series is ... Doh! I forgot the name! It is a really great sci-fi trilogy (?) covering serveral thousand years - about a space federation - it\'s glory and fall. Any suggestions as what it\'s title is? All I know is that it\'s great.

I suggest you to read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?; it\'s Philip K. D-ick\'s greatest book.

Well, the movie Blade Runner is based upon the book but VERY different.

I think the book is better. It defines the rules of humanity. I have readed it in english. I suggest you read it too. Now GO and LOAN it!

Agreed, I don\'t know much about skylark, but I read Lensman and it was very good. Doc EE is hard to find these days though.  I scour the second hand shops for his stuff and haven\'t seen much there, but sometimes I run across them.

Samwise, you\'re talking about the Foundation Trilogy by Asimov, good stuff.  If you haven\'t read Caves of Steel and all of them, check it out.  I think I Robot has the first book in it... not sure though, it\'s  been since I was in sixth grade since I read it.

kirath and Samwise, okay okay, suck ass was a little harsh.  I just like my sci-fi (or what ever you classify 1984 as) to fill me with awe and wonder, not frighten and depress me.

But I love true stories also. I suggest you to find some out and read. They\'re the most interesting

I love war-novels ( such as Sven Hassel\'s; really good; read them out )

You\'re welcome!  I used to be an Asimov fiend, consumed as much as I could of the stuff.  That Caves of Steel is the first of a trilogy written by Asimov.
