Dancing Games - fun or ****ed up?

Just thought I\'d bring this up as this is an interesting subject. (yeah right lol)

What are your views on these Bemani Games that you see in the shops and Arcades?

Do you think Guys can play them as well? or Just Girls?

Would you ever play them yourself? or would you wait until the room was empty and you are very pissed?

When I have parties round at my place,we get drunk,play twister,have 2 player games on the Dancing Stage games (all supplied by my best mates sister - thank you Katherine) and just sweat to **** and fall over while trying to keep up with S-Club or Kylie, then just decide to quit so I can preserve my energy for any of the girls there lol.

I wouldnt ever buy a dance mat but would play on one.It\'s just you don\'t really see guys on them,mostly girls but I have played them for the laugh and they are fun I guess.

I love them. I dont care who is around or where it is. I just play. Being a dork i guess, i love jpop and stupid s*** like that so i enjoymyself with all the Bemani games except for drummania. Its enervating and for some i guess its a way to loose weight, (like my cusin\'s g/f\'s mother. sheesh). But there are small crowds that like them. Most ....how should i put this, all American gamers, would find it either gay or wierd and just go for the shooting games.

They don\'t take themselves seriously and they are great fun to play.
I was at the trafford centre a couple of weeks back and I was playing it with my best mate vicki, my brother and vicki\'s sister and we were havin such a laugh.
I think I might buy one.

I love Samba De Amigo the most, and I love Amplitude as well. I have DDR, but I don\'t play it much because I suck at it. I\'m a big fan of anything new or innovative in gaming. If I have to play one more generic mascot platformer, I will puke.

DDR can be fun if you get into it, umm, beatmania is fun, guitar freaks, pop n music is good, all coming from japan, but they are all quite fun. Drumamania, the list goes on.

Yeah i really never get tired of these games. Eventhough, having played the bemani series games a lot i think some of the DJ\'s should make up more catchy tunes. Love to me, DXY, ERA, Dynamite Rave, etc etc. I could go on for hours. All these songs are great but the thing is that they always have them and make new mixes. I wish they would come out with some fresh songs thats all.

I bought Beatmania with the turntable thing, it sucked.

I bought DDR with the floor pads for 10 bucks in the Philippines.... I found it fun for like a week or 2.

Dance dance revolution, is made by Konami, and last time i checked that is NOT an asian company, its japanese. So, saying that these games are an "asian" thing? I mean come on, the games are MADE BY KONAMI IN JAPAN.  That doesnt mean they are an asian thing. This game is MOST POPULAR in japan, not asia, the other Bemani games are also made in JAPAN, so i don\'t see how in the hell is an "asian thing" Since the game is made in japan.  DDR is  a form of Bemani game(music game) and its based in japan, always  has been since it first came out, and I do not see how the game is an asian thing since it was made in japan.
