Remember the 80\'s
« on: May 28, 2003, 12:20:52 PM »
what are some of your favorite 80\'s pop culture memories?

I have to go with the Ninja Turtles, Leg Warmers, basically all 80\'s fashion,  Modona before she got old, and Valley Girls.  Oh how I miss all these things....

I had the white pants and blazer ala "Miami Vice"... complete the outfit with a turquoise shirt, and you\'ve got me in 6th grade.

God only being 3 in the 80\'s but I can remember some quite alot.

Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ( I was a hardcore, and vivid fan ), really stupid hair cuts, and Fresh Prince of Bel Air ( Cant remember if its early 90\'s or late 80\'s but anyway )
Think for yourself. Question authority.

I loved Breakin, beat street, voltron, robotech, he man, alf, ninja turtles, thundercats, transformers, knight rider, old school jams, ghost busters, slayer, the boggles ( ), Mork and Mindy (or was that the 70\'s ? "nanu nanu"), the delorean, Back to the future, george michales ( just kidding!), Old school rap/hip hop such as tribe called quest, kool keith etc. 5.0 liter Mustangs, nintendo, atari, genesis and master system...

I could go on for a very long time.

I had a 5.0 Mustang GT... I miss that car... :(

All of the music... New Wave, Hard Core, all of the one hit wonders... the beginning of MTV - I remember that well - too bad the channel has gone to $hit now.

Skate and Destroy, the Bones Brigade...

Seeing The Cure 4 times in a year with 4 different girls ;)

ahhh the 80\'s...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was, also, a freakish fan whom bought anything that had the TMNT -logo. Action figures, pillows, blankets, posters, mugs - you name it, I had it. And the live movie rocked - I really thought Turtles were real afterwards.

I also remember the golden days of Nintendo 8-bit and the oh so legendary Super Mario Bros. ( accompanied with Duck Hunt ).
