I took bobs advice...
« on: May 28, 2003, 03:54:19 PM »
Looking through some old threads, I noticed bob mentioned this band named strapping young lad. I was deterred from downloading anything afraid of it being a joke band.

But I tried none the less- and one word \'GOOD!\'. Not my favorite band, but I love them.

I only have a couple songs, but I love them. im buying the CD as soon (if they carry it here) as I can...

Thanks bob, I suggest you guys download them.

BTW: They remind me of system of a down for some odd reason.. ?

Great band, though.  All of Devin Townsends stuff is great.

:laughing:

Found out how I compared the two;

Looks like the SOAD\'s vocalists\' in his earlier days. Cant find a picture right now, but I might.

They sound nothing alike- its the members that remind me of it.

Can you suggest some songs?

I have Satan\'s ice cream truck, detox, and oh my ****ing god.

Love every single one

Like I said in the other thread, AAA, Underneathe the Waves, S.Y.L., Skin Me, Velvet Kevorkian, Home Nucleonics, The Rape Song , etc.

Among basically all of their other songs.  Also it would be recommended you check out other works of Devin Townsend.  His own band and Ocean Machine.  He\'s a very talented man..

I\'m not really into that angry type of music. It angers the blood sometimes ;) The stuff I like is techno and trance and stuff like that. I like trance[]control and ATB. Kicks ass :D
