Network Adapter released in Europe.
« on: June 12, 2003, 08:21:50 AM »
Well some parts at least :)

I have ordered one via a local store (they import from the UK), if I’m lucky I should have one tomorrow.
I was going to buy Socom as well, but I cant afford it right now.

$55 not a bad price, I was expecting the price to be set much higher.

Anyone know if they include a demo?
If so any idea which games you get to try?

Will U.S./Canadian gamers be able to play with Euro gamers?

How is the PS2 online set up over there?  Pay to play or similar to U.S. & Canada?

Im not sure about the first one. I read on uk.playstation.com that the UK beta-testers for Socom could not access American servers.
Ill know tomorrow when my friend gets his BBA.

I think it works the exact same way as in the US.
Free online play for most games.

TMB Blows.  I played it for about 10 minutes and quit.

SOCOM rocks, but I suck.

Aussies still waiting.... :)

Another difference between the American and European NA\'s is that our are BB online only.

Unless they changed it.. :)

Maybe I should have bought the NA+TMBO, but it wasn’t available when I ordered.
Anyways, too late.. Its already somewhere in my area (prolly at the post office).

Feel kind of silly having the NA and no fricking games to play.
Hey I remember that you could "hack" TimeSplitters 2 and play online. Does that still work? :)

I just registered on Central Station.. Seems like a nice place.
You can check the latest gaming-news, see previews, I think they are going to open up a chat or a forum or something later.

Im hoping to receive a demo disc soon :)

Seems my other post did not get posted..

Anyway, you can surf the web on Ps2 via a little "cheat"..
Quote
"I wasn\'t sure if I should post how but since the IP was posted here for the portal...

From the Network disc
click get connected
advanced options
configure external network device

then type the IP - easy

It was one of the beta guys that discovered how to do it, apologies to him if he sees this as I can\'t remember his name off hand.
Anyway guys enjoy it "

Works quite good, some sites work really well and other dont as they look really distorted.

Does the adapter come with a web browser over there????

Why didn\'t U.S. adapters have this feature?
