Right now I have this thing: It serves it purpose- its not really mine, but my dads, but I get to use it whenever.

If I could pick a cellphone:

Kyocera 7135

I feel stupid , as I am a self-acclaimed geek and love everything new, I however never jumped on the cell-phone bandwagon. Maybe it is my hatred for phones in general. Then factor in the fact, the idea of being on call at any given time..It just irks me...

Tho\', I\'ll give you, some of them are pretty f**kin\' cool looking.

I know what you mean LIC, sometimes it just peeves me off when people learn not to call me unless its actually important.

I usually only use it for emergencies or something important.

It can save a bunch of time for calling a tow truck from your cell, instead of walking their.

Is mp3 playback quality really that bad on cell phones, or is it head phone dependant.

Hmm, I might just get the 6610. Is it true that the higher the number (1-9 series) the better the phone??? Like, is a Nokia 8250 better than a 6610 simply because its a larger #? That mobile review site gives me that impression.

No, read my comments. The MP3 playback doesn\'t involve any moving parts etc. so it\'s not hard to produce decent MP3 playback. I\'d say it relies mostly on the headphones. But as I said, there are phones out there with excellent MP3 playback (Siemens SL45).

It\'s true in the sense that the higher number means higher end. Like how a 8250 is smaller, cooler, has more features than - say - a 3310.

Hehe.. well , this my kind of topic . On tuesday(17:th) morning there is exciting news from nokia. Keep cool ;-)

About the numbering of nokia, your theory is not true.

The naming of nokia phone have to do with the segment the phone is targeting. 6XXX are business for example, 3XXX are youth.

Regarding the 3300 and/or N-gage.

I have the N-gage my self sine a few month back. It a really good phone, with all of you required features and then some. Comes with 64 meg memory , thats used for games/ mp3s or what ever.

Since you also are on this forum, I bet you like games ? Hold out until october and get an N-gage instead of the 3300. For sure !

Racer, nokia number series reflect the users.

2xxx series el cheapo phones, 3xxx series for teens who want cheap phones with nice features, 5xxx series for outdoor use, 6xxx series for buisness users, 7xxx series used to be a buisness series but it\'s now for the fashion people out there, but all the phones are basically the same as the 6xxx series phones. 8xxx series has always been for the fashion industry and the 9xxx series is for high end buisness users.

If I could pick a cellphone:

Kyocera 7135

That first Kyocera is CRAP. It had decent features and ability, but the phone was crap. I took in to service 4 times in 3 months.

That second Kyocera is fantastic and will be my next phone if I get my friends hook-up. Otherwise forget about spending $500 on just the phone.
