I thought The Getaway was an amazing game.

I still can\'t believe it received as much criticism as it did.  I swear people are pussies these days and can\'t handle games that actually challenge them as gamers.

I get it this friday when it\'s released in the shops, although my best mate got it early cos he owns a game shop, and we all piled round at him&his brothers house last night after we went clubbing and it\'s brilliant!
It\'s the next step up in Bemani games and it\'s SOOOOO much fun!

it\'s easy to set up and it\'s just SOOOOO addictive!

you get 12 games with it and it\'s just as crazy as Bishi Bashi on the PSone and I\'ve got to admit that was amazing in terms of addictiveness!

as for Tomb Raider,I\'ll carry on playing it on sunday if I\'m not working.It\'s not the full game though, cause it was only a copy that was used for all the magazines to do the previews although it\'s got everything in,apart from the last half of the game.

Well I certainly think that TR: AOD is buy material depending on the gamer. I think i might buy it if i can get a deal or i might just rent it again. I havent had too much time lately but the more i play the better it seems to get. Although i have to say some parts could have been done better. Right now im am playing as we speak (well while i type this). Im at the archeological dig. Meh. I dont know how far i am but im pretty saticefied. Fifa i think you will definately find this one interesting. I guess ill just have to wait on your opinions. Sorry chap.

Eidos issues profit warning
By Tony Smith
Posted: 27/06/2003 at 15:19 GMT

Game publisher Eidos has been forced to hold back the European release of the next game in the hugely popular Tomb Raider series, Angel of Darkness. The news has prompted a ten per cent drop in the company\'s share price.

Gamers are unlikely to be too miffed that the game will ship a week late, taking it into July rather than June, but the City is very concerned. By shipping AoD this month, Eidos would have been able to include sales in its current financial year\'s figures. The result: the company\'s pre-tax profits will take a hit.

Eidos\' fiscal year ends on 30 June. "While some units may ship within the current financial year, up to one million units will ship in July, the first month of the next financial year," the company admitted in a statement.

"This has led the Board to significantly reduce its expectations for profit before tax for the financial year," it added.

Eidos won\'t say what it expected to earn during 2003, or what it now believes its income will total. Its 2003 results will be announced on 4 September. Analysts were expecting sales of $283-300 million, Reuters reports. Eidos is expect to ship 1.5-2.0 million units, so at between a half and two-thirds of the game\'s sales will not now be included in the company\'s 2003 figures. And Eidos has already begun spending its £2 million UK marketing budget and its ?6 million European marketing allocation.

The units that will ship in June are destined for the US PlayStation 2 market. US European PC versions will ship next week, Eidos said. It will not say when it will ship the PS2 version in Europe, but it blamed the delay on last-minute checks by Sony.

AoD has already been delayed twice, first from its November 2002 launch date to February, and then to June.

This time Eidos only has itself to blame, chosing to release the game so close to the end of its fiscal year. Games are frequently delayed, and while it might seem like bad luck that AoD has only just slipped past the end of Eidos\' fiscal 2003, perhaps it should have considered the possibility earlier this year when it set the end-of-June release date.

I\'ve been playing it and it\'s good, the controls are so annoying and the camera angles...well is there any game that can do this right?!? are frustrating but yeah it\'s got the elements in there that have made me realise why I am a Tomb Raider fan in the first place and if you\'re not a TR fan then rent it.Period.

Eyetoy is very very good and it\'s a game that doesn\'t take itself too seriously.
