Well you can think of it as this way ;
a games\' graphics are made up of these elements :
- polygon count
- texture quality
- special FX ; particles, bumpmapping etc.
- lighting and shadowing
- visual quality ; anti-alias and such FX
A top Xbox/NGC game will probably have all those elements
very well done. In a direct comparison, top PS2 games
might fall behind a bit in just one or two of those elements,
becuz for example ; \'a dev is forced to cut down on
polygon count on secondary geometry objects or otherwise
the framerate will suffer.\'
That\'s a compromise. But the top PS2 games are made in
sucha way that it is not a big deal, you don\'t really notice.
BTW. There are enough games out there which don\'t live up
to the hardware\'s potential, either be it PS2, Xbox or NGC.
PC is teh way to go if you want best graphics, but that\'ll cost
you alot more.....:thepimp:
