Meet my new friend!
« on: July 16, 2003, 09:50:59 AM »
Today, I have met a new friend.

Say hello to Mr. Kensington. Flyfan, Kensington.

http://www.kensington.com/html/1265.html#

Since I live on the sunny side of our house it can get pretty damn hot in here during the summertime.
So I ordered a Flyfan.. and yesterday he arrived.

Today it was a VERY hot day.. 31 degrees Celsius (88 F) in my room

A viking cant stand this much heat, Im a winter person! But my little friend made it possible for me to spend time by the computer, he gently blows air in my direction.. And if I were stupid enough to interfere with his work he does not hurt me for his blades are made of soft, soft nylon (but he can give you a bit of a slap if you\'re not careful)

Just thought I\'d recommend this little fellow to anyone else who suffers like me in the summer. ;)

PS: I used to have a bigger fan in the room, I call him Günther.. Now he\'s useless! I put him in my bedroom instead to cool things down there.
I also have a roof-fan (I call him Loki) but the air is so hot and he’s to weak so I bearly notice the wind.

I made it mainly as a joke.. But I admit have named a few of my household products (my PC is known as Balder). ;)

Hehe, if we had AC we would only use it for a few weeks each year. The summer isn’t very long :p

Today was the hottest day of the year so far..

I’m looking forward to some thunder on Friday, cool things down a bit.

I don\'t have AC in my apartment, and I\'ve never had it any place I\'ve lived in California.  If I had it, I would only turn it on about 5 days out of the year.  I have little problem with high temperatures.
