I havent picked any up - but I imagine I\'lll get the Xbox version, and use the S-pad ..  The only thing the PS2 version had goin\' for it was the control pad - and from what I understand the S-pad isn\'t so bad for Soul Calibur..



To bad realy, I wanted the NGC version, but I can\'t break down and use the NGc for the game.

The difference in graphics are MINIMAL.
All versions have frameloss (according to GameSpot)
PS2 has the most sharp textures far away ( the other versions use mipmapping? You can see in the pictures, look 2-3 meters in the background.), maybe they are more blurry up close (hard to tell, looks about the same to me)

Lamest character? No, the only character of the bonus one to fit in with the rest of the game.

PS2 = version best for me

BTW:You talked about frame-loss.I dont remember any frame-loss on my friends XBOX.He got the japaneese version months ago.

I think that issue is almost non existent.

Its very rare I think.. Only happens on a few stages, I doubt you\'ll notice it without really looking.

Still the minor graphical details wont have me spending an extra 100SEK (for GC version).

No surely not.. Thats the biggest minus. But if its only 2-3 seconds extra, I can take it.

Man that annoyed the shit out of me in the original.

I\'d rather medium textures all over, rather than good textures under your feet, and shit textures a few feet away.

I give a "f**k". I own all three consoles and if I\'m goin\' to be bothered to play the game, I want the best version and that is apparently, for once , the Xbox.
If the NGC had a better controller, I\'d pick that version up..As it stands tho..

Xbox  > NGC > PS2

OK I figured out that Spawn\'s voice is the guy who does the voice-overs for all the xbox commercials.  Spawn\'s got some decent moves.  The Necrid guy is somewhat interesting to watch but horrible to play.  Kiliak, the dude with the Bo is a bad mamajama.

And is it just me or did they put more bounce in Taki\'s tits than every DOA game combined?  I mean come on guys they are animated like wind socks.

I wouldnt know yet but it certainly does:D. Even in soul blade (edge) you can see takis tits bounce. Those were some bad ass tricks with the ps back then;).

Anyway, i only still have my ps2 left so ill get the version which we all know isnt really bad, just not as good as the others. Psh, big deal. If you have all consoles then good for you and im sure it wont be hard to decide for yourself wich version you\'ll buy

I am a happy person today. I put off buying soul calibur 2 for almost a week thinking it would not be that great. I was wrong. A mix of soul blade and soul calibur. The only thing that is missing is damage to the weapons like blade. Oh well atleast they gave me all my weapons in arcade.

Btw I just put 4 hours straight into weapon master mode. I am so happy.:mecry:

How far has everyone got through weapon master mode as of yet? I have been through it one time. Now about halfway though the bonus levels after you beat it the first time.
