Alastair Campbell wasn\'t a politician, he\'s an ex reporter hired by the government to give things a more presentable feel.

By that description alone you can see what they take the \'little people\' in this country for.

He was pure nastiness and evil programmed only to forward his own career by twisting things in his own twattish way. No-one was really taken in by him and most were just waiting for the arrogant little shit to quit.

I\'m also tired about how non-American citizens say how horrible we are for electing Bush (intensied by the Iraqi debate).

BTW, I\'m no Blair fan. The only thing I agree with Blair is his stance on Iraq. Everything else I heard about him, I wouldn\'t vote for him (or since this is the Parlimentary system, his party) at all.

Which in this thread, thats the only thing I praise Blair on (the Iraq issue). Never said Blair was a great leader other then his stance on Iraq.

As for Campbell, sounds like he is just a spokesperson who simply passes on the information (if what Green Meanie is saying is true). In fact, sounds like a certain other spokesperson from this state. Goes by the name of Bob Mulholand. He is the California Democratic Party spokesperson and is one of the main people for helping California become the Democratic cesspool of stupidity that it is today. He pretty much degraded politics to the crap that it is today (even though they themselves...are not directly involved). Bob Mulholand is one of the nastiest campaigners out there. When you talk about dirty politics, demogaugery, race baiting, and class warfare, Bob Mulholand is the master of this.

Yup Al Campell is our answer to Bob Mulholand in EVERY way.

In fact i don\'t know who\'s more to blame for Ultra low voter turn out.

Blair and his B.S. New  Labour

or

Ali Campbell and his Tour De Force style Spin Doctor\'n

All politicians are the same, there is no-one who I would pick out as being better at his/her job than anyone else, it makes it hard to have any get up and go about the voting process when all the candidates are in it for the same shallow reasons.

John Smith is missed and Hague shouldn\'t have quit after not winning the generals.

How long until Bliar goes then? Place your bets.

Asking UN for help now?

Well the President ALWAYS wanted the UNs help despite what the media protrays him. After all, why do you think we even dealt with the UN in the first place? That doesn\'t mean that I feel the UN is an imcompetent organization...but I\'m not the President either.

Back Alastair Campbell, if he is like Bob Mulholland, then I\'m glad he resigned on that point. Not on Iraq persay, but on the degredation of politics as we know it (and it was pretty low to begin with).

either

UN = the toothless tiger of no help to anyone (before the war)

or

UN = Our best buddys and the people who are going to bail us out. (Now)

you Can\'t have them both.

They are a toothless tiger. The fact that it took 12 years for Iraq (and still did nothing), running around waiting for "US" help in Liberia, still trying to solve the Congo situation, it is a toothless tiger.

But, since they are still around, and it is still a place where the US can still get support (even if it is minimal and usually, its a place where we get NO support), a politician, like say President Bush, with the likes of diplomats like Colin Powell (man who convinced Bush to go through the UN in the first place) can still ask for their support because...its still there (much to my disgruntlement).

Personally, I\'d say screw the UN and garner international support through other means. But I\'m not the President am I?
